I ordered through GrubHub at 7 PM. The delivery window was initially 8:10-8:20, which quickly became 9:10-9:20. At 9:15, my partner was getting worried, and they tried calling the restaurant. The phone number returned either a busy signal or just rang, without stopping, until a robot voice said “Enter your remote access code” and hung up. I started calling at 9:30 and then resorted to contacting GrubHub support. I’ve heard plenty of GrubHub horror stories, sending orders to restaurants while there were no drivers within miles, so I was getting ready to be really mad at some poor GH tech support. Somehow, GrubHub was able to get through to the restaurant, which told them the order would arrive at 10 PM. This cheered me up, but only briefly, because, almost immediately, the restaurant contacted me directly (through the phone number that wasn’t working earlier - maybe it was giving a busy signal because this was happening to a lot of other people) to tell me they were backed up, hadn’t started my food, and wouldn’t be making it, and that I should ask GH for a refund. The tech support at GH was surprised by this but issued my refund. You’d think that if you were so backed up you’d turn off accepting orders (which I looked up, a restaurant can stop accepting orders on GrubHub if they’re backed up), but nearly 3 hours to notify me on top of that? Not to mention the weird disconnect between what GH was being told and what I was being told. Maybe I’ll walk down to the lobby and see my food there, I don’t know. I’m disappointed because this wasn’t even GrubHub’s fault, and moreso because the food looks and sounds really good, but I’m not gonna get to eat it and I don’t want to go through this again in the future. At least I...
Read moreAnother "not my first time here, but first Google Review" for this place! Wow, can't believe it's been 10yrs since I have been here last - Thursday, November 21, 2013, to be exact. Service is still as excellent as I remember and I'm pretty sure our nice server is the same from the last visit. Place is also still BYOB but we forgot to bring a beverage. We were the only diners and later another group came in to dine. There were definitely a ton of carry-out and delivery orders. I guess they're celebrating 14yrs in business so today's free deal was your choice of Thai Iced Tea or Thai Iced Coffee, one per customer. My Husband and I ordered one of each and both were heavenly. For dinner, pictured here is their Crab Rangoons (different and its own unique filling, reminiscent of another place I have dined), their Solo Platter (choice of Spicy Tuna or California Roll - I opted for the Spicy Tuna, and four Nigiri pieces) which comes with Miso Soup (a regular, not small portion), and their Caterpillar Roll. My Husband ordered their Tonkotsu Ramen and what a huge bang for your buck! Everything actually was. Hopefully next visit won't be...
Read moreHorrible customer service. I ordered a meal on February 14th at 8:10pm. The estimated delivery time was around 9:30-9:40pm. I was totally cool with that, not a big deal. Around 10pm I noticed that the restaurant still was looking for a driver, so my delivery was postponed to 10:15pm, than it got postponed to 10:20pm, 10:30pm and around 10:45pm they just canceled the order and refunded money. They never gave me a call to see if we could pick it up, or at least say that they couldn’t find a rider, no apologies, no nothing. We waited 2,5 hours for nothing. If the restaurant knew there was a struggle to find a rider why they accepted my order at the first place? Such a poor management job. I called right after my food had been canceled but no one picked up the phone because technically the restaurant had got closed for the day. It’s upsetting because the food is very good, I ordered from them once and I was highly excited to get the food for Valentine’s dinner from...
