Food was so so-perhaps if they focused their menu more they’d have more time to make tastier food. Everything we received was COLD except for the bottom 1/2 of the fries and onion rings. Not acceptable.
Mostly upset because I treated my friends to dinner and specifically chose a restaurant close to us… They’re on approximately 3100 Devon and my friend is on approximately 2000 Lunt what is that 15 blocks away? And all our stuff came cold. Did they make the burgers way before they had any of the other stuff ready? I don’t get it. I will not order from this place again. I would never have tipped so much had I known that this food was of such disappointing quality.
They say one eats with their eyes first….not even the Chinese orange chicken looked appetizing;nor did the guest who ordered it think it was remotely good. The burgers are way overpriced and they do not read special requests as mine came with ketchup which I requested be removed! Oh well, maybe the food is passable on site but not...
Read moreI ordered fried chicken carryout for 8 people. I was able to feed 8 people for under $100.00 The food is Kosher. I asked for 16 pieces of all dark meat, and for 2 breasts. The dark meat meat were drumsticks and thighs. The pieces were large. The breasts were very large. The food was delicious. The chicken was not greasy. The cornbread muffins which came with the order were soft and sweet, just as cornbread should be. The other sides were baked beans, spiced apple slices, sweet potato fries, and cole slaw. Everything was delicious. The hot food was hot and the cold food was cold. My son loved the baked beans which were made with onions. The only thing which was not perfect is that the sweet potato fries were not crispy...but we took care of that at home by spreading them on a cookie sheet under the over broiler. I will definitely return for another great meal...
Read moreIn my search for kosher beef ribs I came across Great Chicago Food & Beverage. From the pictures online and menu I thought this was a fancy restaurant. To my surprise, neither good or bad, it is kinda a hole in the wall that you could miss parked right in front of the place. However, the employees, especially the person taking the orders, were very upbeat and friendly. Definitely what you want from people making your food! The beef ribs, and I never met a beef rib I didn’t like, were to my liking. They were dry as opposed to wet. They seemed like they were basted in bbq sauce but not bathing in it. Very meaty, a decent portion and yummy. I would recommend a side of bbq sauce for dipping. The slaw, clearly homemade, was uniquely tangy and tasty. Everything else looked delicious and I would definitely be a regular if I...
