Hangry's — Restaurant in Jefferson Township

I want to share a serious concern about my recent experience at Hangrys restaurant. As a long-time fan of their wings, I was devastated to discover that the chicken I ordered was undercooked and bloody. This alarming oversight not only ruined my meal but also led to food poisoning.

I’ve always loved Hangrys for their vibrant atmosphere and delicious food, but this incident has left me questioning their food safety practices. It’s crucial that restaurants prioritize the health and well-being of their customers.

I hope to address this issue not just for myself but for others who enjoy dining there. I believe that accountability is essential. I’m prepared to take legal action, armed with evidence of my experience. My life and health are far more valuable than any meal, no matter how tasty it may be.

Best traditional / bone in wings I have ever had, I'm typically a boneless guy, and I wanted something to eat on the go. But I was in such a rush I forgot to say boneless. Clean inside and in the restroom. I got there 45 mins late to my pick up time due to friday afternoon /night traffic, so unfortunately I didn't get a chance to eat more than a couple wings and fries until the next day. I had a concert to catch in Hoffman Estates. still tasted absolutely fabulous the next day. 12 pc trad bone in came with fries, 2 bbq sauce, 3 carrot slices, and ranch. Total was 16.48$ with tax as of 8/18/2023. I got my wings naked with bbq on the side. bbq was a perfect combination with the wings and tasted amazing. they have a parking lot but it is very small and usually full. The food I got was not as good as I was expecting based on the price (about $26) and good reviews.

I got a BBQ burger with cheese fries and a small horchata slushie for a drink. The horchata slushie was excellent. I had never tasted horchata in this form and I highly recommend it. The food was almost completely tasteless. I added lots of salt to try to help it but it just tasted salty. There was almost no BBQ taste. Definitely needed more bbq sauce. Even the cheese on the fries was basically water in terms of taste. I added ketchup to try to help it, but the ketchup tasted very strange. Not sure if it was an off brand or maybe they don't refrigerate it.

I ordered online and picked it up, but decided to dine in to eat the food hot and fresh. I'll say I appreciate that the waiters didn't bother me while I enjoyed a movie (with earbuds) as I ate my food.
