Amazing food and wonderful service at a reasonable price! Pictures don’t do it justice; the amount of food you get is insane. I got the huarache con salsa verde y arrachera (skirt steak) and it was so so so good. The meat was soft and juicy, and paired really well with the sour cream, cheese and salsa. The huaraches are definitely large enough that a single one can feed two people.

Chips and salsa for the table were really tasty too, salsa is very spicy but worth it. It’s BYOB which we didn’t realize when we got there, but there is a liquor store across the street. We ordered a cucumber michelada mix and it was delicious.

Service is great as well, our server was kind and attentive, answering all our questions about the dishes.

Cannot recommend this enough!! Very excited to be back in the...

Great service. The complementary sauce they serve with the chips is spicy and really tasty. I loved it. Their caldo de res is really tasty. I enjoyed it very much. It was a nice big plate. The strawberry shake was okay. A bit too sweet. I got a custom guarache, of carne asada. Got it with the green and molcajete sauce. I think it was just okay. The meat was lacking in taste, it wasn't much and a lot of it was fat. It was a really big guarache that had me filled for about two days, but I was expecting more taste wise. We also tried the flor de calabaza quesadilla. Not a lot of places have this. The quesadilla, in my opinion, is a better choice. The quesadilla is the same size as the guarache, and it is half the price. It just had way more...

This is my favorite restaurant in Chicago! They make their tortillas in house every day and they're the best in the city! Alma is a wonderful server, what a sweetie. I'm partial to the 3 taco dinner, which comes with rice and their perfect refried beans. However, their speciality, the huarache, is outstanding. Tasty things piled on top of a deliciously fluffy mega tortilla, almost a Mexican version of pizza. Weekday breakfast special is a great deal. LOVE THIS...

I have been to this restaurant twice. First time had the carne asada huarache and the second time the mole with chicken huarache. Service is great, food is good (could use a bit more salt to my taste) and restaurant overall is clean. Do not sit near bathroom, they have an automatic air freshener in hall way but the smell goes out to front. First time I sat near the hall way and it was not pleasant to be eating and getting the flower smell every 10 minutes.
