La Michoacana Chicago — Restaurant in Jefferson Township

Always crowded, needs better management and not enough staff apparently. It started as a nice place 2g2 during the summer but no1 really stays inside because there's not enough tables which are awkwardly placed because of the long lines. It used to have friendly faces but the workers all seem moody now instead of happy. Maybe they need better pay, they should get better pay with all the money the place is making. I rarely go anymore. If u want to skip the lines go either early mornings anyday or anytime before 5p.m on weekdays... also don't be a douche on your phone while placing orders, no1 likes that customer while there's lots of people waiting to order. They have lots of stuff from various flavors of ice cream (think BaskinRobins) to mexican faves like Mangonadas (if you don't know what that is well there's Google for that), mexican style corn on the cob and my fave Chicharron preparado which is good for 2 people lol... I just wish they didnt take so long getting orders on weekends which is always around...

I live walking distance which is the only good thing but the staff really has to clean their attitude if they want to continue in customer service, I would NEVER hire them due to the service I have received but just a suggestion. They never have meat for certain items and they prepare the food like they're annoyed of customers. On top of that they ask me (the customer) what comes on the item I ordered like I work there...? Completely unprofessional and discouraging to even go at times based on the customer service. Michoacana you need to do better in hiring and training. At this point i'd rather drive to another location that doesn't make me feel that my service is unwanted. And if you notice I never mention a language barrier I'm ok with that i can work with that it is the straight up service and attitude that is appalling. Coming from a customer service trainer point of view it doesn't matter if i wait an hour or two as Long as the customer service is there clients will come back...

I stopped by for the first time and I was abit disappointed. The customer service was great that wasnt the problem..the issue I had was with the food. I ordered some scoops of icecream and they where very watery. They said that they had just cleaned the freezers, then why serve melted icecream? Isnt there a plan B for storage? Does this happen everytime they clean the freezers? We also ordered fresas con crema.. it did not have any flavor,very disappointed with that. I also got the paleta de nuez(Nuez completa) and OMG it looked like if it was in the freezer for months....to a point that it looked like it kinda melted and got hard again .it had some freezer burn as well and honestly it had no flavor as well. Finally I ordered a torta de jamon... how bad can they mess that up right? Well they did.. I dont know what they add to it that it was very greasy..looked like they sprayed it with oil to be able to put it in the sandwich press...Why try to be fancy...all I wanted was a...
