Updated Review - I've dined in several times since my initial post. We came here with a large group. Service was a little slow to start, so we ended up going to the salad bar with the small plates that were on our table just to tide us over until we were either given salad plates or appetizers. We tried the fried calamari, baked clams and french onion soup. The next time we dined here was for my birthday dinner, we ordered the prime rib and chicken parm w/pasta. I was very happy with both, portions were large enough that we had leftovers, prices are reasonable. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Really craving some baked clams recently, so I perused grub hub and found this place will deliver to mine. Ordered my clams, as well as an chicken parm sub. A simple oversight, which may not have happened had I dined in - the chicken was not folded, so as to fit inside the sub roll, making it way too difficult and messy to eat as a sandwich. Also, my clams seemed hard and chewy...again, not sure if I would have experienced this had I dined in, so I will check out the restaurant one day and update my review....however, I probably won't order delivery again.

Disappointed …. Came to La Villa on March 20, For my wife’s birthday, couldn’t have been one of the worst decisions I’ve ever made. We spent the rest of the night sharing the toilet and a trashcan ***WE GOT FOOD POISONING!!! ***coming out of both ends Manager, Christine the owner, who was unfortunately, extremely disrespectful and couldn’t care less about the health of her customers. Kept on giving me excuses About how I could have gotten sick and didn’t want to refund my money. I spent over $150 with them and I’ll be damned if I wasn’t gonna get a refund. So I ended up going in person to get my refund and brought all of the leftover food and kept samples of it to turn into the food and health administration. I can now understand why people don’t call and complain about food at this location, considering how they treat customers she treated me as if I was lying and incompetent I added a picture of what gave me food poisoning. It is highlighted Use extreme caution on their weekday specials

Well since I got my tax return I had to treat myself to La Villa. It's one of these restaurants where you're breaking the bank for Italian food.especially custom making your own pasta with shrimp Alfredo and fettuccine you will not be disappointed is the portions are pretty decent and you won't be leaving unsatisfied . The pasta is piping hot and fresh vegetables cuz I usually order it with broccoli and spinach. I taking a lighter out since I know that their pasta dishes are very filling or Rich. So I got the dinner salad with Italian dressing and as an appetizer I went with deep battered mushrooms with marinara sauce. As for the end if I still have room I'm going to eat tiramisu. I also do recommend if you want to have occasions their banquet hall is very good for how much they charge but I'm only coming here to make an encore eating at lobelia since I had a craving for it. The two best Italian American restaurants. La Villa in Northside Chicago,IL and Jim and Pete's by Elmwood Park, IL.

Man I went here for a 50th anniversary party and the menu was already picked I don't know how good all of their food was because everything they were serving which looked it really delicious they walked around with hors d'oeuvres pastries or whatever I saw so many pastries that I wanted to try I asked him to stop coming by me with that stuff because I am very including free gluten is my major problem so by the time they got to serving the meal which was turkey and gravy with some dang this mashed potatoes and vegetables man I don't mean any kind of vegetables anyways the waiters we're all ready familiar with the fact that I was gluten free so one of them when serving the other nine people at my table asked me if he would like for me to ask to cook to fix me something special and I was like no it's okay I don't want to be difficult apparently he went and talked to the cook because the cook came out to me and asked me would I like him to fix me chicken with broccoli and even though I do not eat chicken because I do not like chicken I didn't want to be difficult especially since this was a already prayer ranged menu for the entire guest list so when the weather brought my food I didn't think I was going to eat the chicken but I said I'm going to taste it just to show my gratitude The Taste turned out to a empty plate the chicken was so good I questioned myself on why I had not tried chicken in 43 years after having a horrible chicken incident anyways the vegetables were so succulent it wasn't just broccoli they were huge slices of carrots and squash broccoli cauliflower sort of like a vegetable medley anyways I figured I can have some of these potatoes I can't hurt me besides they don't have no gluten in them oh my goodness we had to ask for a refill on their potatoes and their vegetables several times because the 10 people at my table which included me could not get enough I heard from the other nine people that that turkey slices and gravy were so succulent that they wanted to order a place to take home anyways the professionalism was to the top of the church with the entire staff I would go there and I would have another event I would love to have an event there even though I don't even live here just because of the way everyone was treated and it was a very mixed crowd I'm so happy I was invited and I'm even happier that I my husband...

For anyone seeking to book an event-you may want to read this one. I’ve been booking special/small family events with LaVilla-Belvedere Room since 2021 and for the most part it has been a decent experience. Food is good, they help set up tables, cake, and clean up after event. I will say the second time I booked with them, they didn’t set up the space the way I asked but I didn’t make it a big deal-and made the best of it. I booked an event back in November for end of February 2025 & unfortunately had a family emergency come up leaving me with no idea on a date to reschedule and having to cancel the event. It is stressful as it is going through an unforeseen event, and then having to deal with rescheduling has been overwhelming. I called the last week of January and asked to speak with the owner (thinking since i’ve been a loyal customer) there may be some options available. I was not seeking to get my money back, I simply wanted some understanding and options. I asked to speak with the owner and was given the run around. I finally spoke to a female who identified as a manager (not Theresa-she is great!)(and now i’m wondering if I actually spoke with the owner but she just said she was a manager)-I cannot recall her name but she was a complete ass! She talked over me, had no empathy, tried to shame me and basically told me that my $300 deposit was gone. It wasn’t until I told her that my intent was NOT to get my money back that she finally outlined 1 option available for me, which was not really very flexible and I would still be losing half of my money (which is okay-again i wasn’t trying to get my money back.) But I’m extremely disappointed with the way I was talked to and I will not be returning. I refuse to take my business to anyone who is insensitive to their customer needs, or anyone that has no flexibility. She can keep her option-and my $300 deposit. Never again! Also, it’s kinda abusive to have a deposit fee with no grace period or clear options that may be available in case of emergency. THINGS HAPPEN! If you care about your customers consider changing that around and modify the way you speak to people. Whoever I spoke with -I Hope you never have a family emergency and find yourself in a...

I hosted my baby's dedication luncheon here this past weekend. The service and food were good, and the head waitress assigned to our table was extremely helpful and very accommodating to our guests. This is the second time we've used La Villa for an event (The first time we catered).

When holding the space, we were promised a semi-private space upon booking, because the other two banquet rooms were booked. When we arrived the space was fully public, and Xmas decorations were covering the wall divider, so didn't want to pull it closed. For the mismatch of "private room" expectations, I would have expected to be compensated for that. As we paid "banquet room prices" for a public space.

I also have feedback on how our billing was handled. We were quoted for 20 guests and had taken out cash to pay our remaining deposit based on this estimate. While I was seated with guests and eating the event manager, Luana, approached me to tell me that we were 3 guests over and that we owed more remaining deposit. This was done in front of my guests which I didn't appreciate. I told her that we can settle it on the side when I'm done eating. When the event closed out she was no where to be found and I had to close the bill with another older lady was very nice and accommodating. This lady said she would just charge us for 20 people even though we had 3 extra guests. Unfortunately, Luana, had already changed our remaining balance invoice to include the extra 3 AND we had already sourced the additional cash we didn't expect to pay after she made us aware of the situation.

We really would have appreciated that gesture of kindness, given this restaurant is local to us and we want to have more events there, but that put a bad taste in my mouth.

Regarding overall value, it would have been over 50% cheaper with just as much food if we had catered rather...
