Horrible. Worst experience I’ve had in a restaurant in 24 years. We went in, sat down. The restaurant was dead! Completely EMPTY. The waitress sees us sit in a four seat table and she walks up to us and says, “it’s only you two?” We say, “yes? Why? Would you like us to move to a smaller table?” She shrugged, rolled her eyes and left the menus. She proceeded to talk to the cook for 7 mins while we waited. We then ask is she can take our order, as she was chatting it up with the cook 10ft away from us, she completely ignored us. The cook also ignored us. So we decided maybe we should just go somewhere else to eat. They continued gossiping not caring about losing customers. Horrible! No wonder they didn’t have anyone eating there. There’s plenty of reviews complaining about bad service, trust me, they’re not over exaggerating. The people defending this restaurant are clearly friends and family of the owners because the reviews speak for themselves. I should’ve listened to friends and family that said this place isn’t any good anymore. 0 out of 5 stars easily. Avoid this place. You’d find better service at a self serve buffet...
Read moreHorrible Horrible restaurant. Not at all a good representation of Mexican food. I love Mexican food and Ive been to a lot of Mexican restaurants but this by far has been the worse, food and service wise. Way overpriced for the quality of food given. The service is mediocre at best. All the questions I put to the server were met with blank stares and a yes or no. No explanations or help in choosing the best plate. And I was speaking in spanish so nothing was lost in translation. Both me and my fiance substituted the rice and beans the plate comes with, with something else. Me with lettuce and tomato, him with eggs. I was charged $1.50 extra my $15 plate of chile rellenos( burned and not made with poblano pepper) and he was charged $2.50 extra for his eggs. The server at no point told us that they charge extra for substitutions. She kept saying ok no problem to everything. After an order of guacamole that was barely half a cup and cost $8 our bill ended up being $52!! A ridiculous high price for horrible food and service. I do not understand how it has a review...
Read moreThe staff is lovely, the decor is beautiful but thus neighborhood restaurant is a C in taste offering average tasting Mexican food that is expensive with no special price lunch menu. The neighborhood is packed with good quality, value priced menu's and nice ambience Mexican restaurants so why go back to this one? A good example is their guacamole all lettuce and lousy tomatoes with almost non existent avocado and no flavor. The tortillas are not fresh. I had their specialty chicken enchiladas with their signature mole sauce and was so disappointed. The mole was too sweet with no interesting layers of flavor and the chicken was tasteless. The beans were too salty and the rice was ordinary. I'm sorry but I can't recommend this restaurant. Also they do not have a wheelchair accessible entrance which in our case was not good. I was taking an 87 year old in a wheelchair out for an afternoon of fresh air and lunch on me. Nice people but skip this spot. One bright spot was the...
