Los Limones on Central Avenue in Chicago delivers an authentic Mexican dining experience that exceeds expectations. The food is nothing short of phenomenal, with generous portions that ensure you'll leave satisfied.
The chilaquiles deserve special recognition - according to my boyfriend, they're the best he's ever tasted. The asada was perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection, truly the best I've had. What really elevates the experience are their homemade tortillas - soft, warm, and clearly made with care.
The drink selection is equally impressive. The watermelon margarita was refreshing with just the right balance of flavors, while the michelada packed a powerful punch without sacrificing taste.
Our server Jackielynn provided exceptional service, attentive without being intrusive.

Read moreWe celebrated a family member’s birthday here, and we had a wonderful experience. The atmosphere was lively and festive. The service was fantastic. Our waitress did a great job of tending to all of our needs and was very nice to talk to. She was even kind enough to take some pictures for our family. The staff also had a lovely surprise for our birthday girl as they came out to sing her happy birthday and served her some birthday flan. Most of us ordered the tampiqueña, and we were all in agreement that it is the best we’ve ever had. No skinny steak here; this generous portion of steak is tender, juicy, and cooked to perfection. Absolutely delicious. The sides of rice and beans along with the cheese enchilada were all equally satisfying. The agua de horchata was very tasty as well. Not too sweet, and very refreshing. I highly recommend Los Limones Mexican Restaurant, and can’t wait to...
Read moreWe wanted to love this place, we really did. However, there were a few issues with our order/food. We ordered over the phone and picked it up. When we picked our food up, the wait was long because the staff gave our order to someone else by mistake. Okay no problems .. they gave us a free tamarindo drink. Then, once we had out food we thought it was okay. The steak was overcooked , dark and almost crunchy. I ordered mole rojo which was ok at best. Something about the chicken. The beans were definitely canned beans. My daughter’s chicken enchiladas were supposed to be chicken filled but she got cheese enchiladas instead. It was just various things. But, this place is new and perhaps they really just need to get it together . But, as for now, this was...
