Martello's Pizza — Restaurant in Jefferson Township

My husband and kids are visiting Chicago we are staying a few houses away from this business. We pass by the business every day and decided to give it a try. My kids, husband and I walked in to order to go, my husband does the ordering My kids are loud so I decide to take them outside as my husband pulled his wallet out to pay. He hands them 2 $20 bills for a total of 29$ and receives $11 back. He then comes outside as we wait and says I'll walk you guys home and I'll come back for the pizza myself. He later goes back and pizza is ready as he reaches for it the lady whom he had already paid said "you haven't paid yet" he says yes I did. He quickly calls me and says can u look for the receipt I couldn't find one bc I don't think we even got one. But he tells her yes I paid u and u gave me back $11 see I have them here. She said just take it accusing him of not paying and that he could have the pizza for free. We aren't rich but we are okay there's no need for us to be stealing a pizza. I would have just gave them their pizza back myself but I didn't bc that would be our loss considering WE HAD ALREADY PAID! I hope that when you guys counted the money at the end of the day or checked your cameras you saw that we did not steal from you. You lost a customer here. Not that you care bc who treats their customers that way...

I placed the order for a burger and fries, a very standard burger and fries, lettuce cheese, tomato pickle onion, and it took them an hour to complete my order. I didn’t receive my food until 7:50 and I placed my order at 6:50. I don’t know what’s going on over there, but there definitely needs to be some consideration for how the orders are placed and made. It was about 5 to 7 people that walked in was able to place the order and get it within a reasonable amount of time. Burgers on their worst day would probably take 15 to 20 minutes to make and if I’m being forgiven, I’ll give you 30 but to have me waiting an hour for a burger and fries and then the fries are soggy after a five...

Ordered online from their website at 3pm when the restaurant opens. Received an email telling me my pizza would be ready in 30 minutes. This was Friday the day after thanksgiving. When I show up they don’t have my order. They never received it. I show them the email and they apologize and tell me it will be ready in 20 minutes. 20 minutes later I get my pizza. I take it home. My wife, kids, dog, and I loved it. It was delicious. The crust crispy and ingredients super fresh. This is my new pizzeria.
