Metropolis Coffee — Restaurant in Jefferson Township

You could instantly feel the absolute DREAD of the workers here. I went over to because it was the only place serving food in the terminal, if i wanted any other food id have to walk across the airport. Out of pure hope we tried to eat here only to spend $105 on 3 hot chocolates, 4 soggy sandwiches and 3 croissaunts. Lets start with tbe hot chocolates, They were so sweet we looked inside and there was actual sprinkles inside. Im suprised my teeth didnt fall out. We had hope for the sandwiches because at least they were in a fridge kind of thing hoping for the best. We get them and theyre soggy as if they were sitting out for a whole week. The ingredients inside tasted almost plastic. The sandwiches werent house made but the label said that they had been made by some company out in the midwest. The croissaunts were fine I guess but that was after we had asked them to warm it up, before it was cold and tasted like the sad souls who had dranken their coffee before us. I went today Wednesday 01/16/2019 morning to this place to get my coffee. My order was extra hot caramel machiato and the lady at the register put the proper order. The guy (Asian) at the machine made it just normal and when I asked him that if I can have extra hot, he doesn't even want to talk until I called him excuse 4-5 times doesn't even want to reply, again I am back to the cashier and I told her what happen, she told him to make it extra hot, he warmed it up and throw it on the table. I paid for the coffee 7 dollars(with the tip) and I didn't expect to get such services at international airport. I was almost on the bottom of line to call my credit card company and decline that payment. Because I throw that coffee . It was not at all caramel Machiato. Terrible Experience at O'Hare Location – Unreasonable Charges and Rude Staff

I had an awful experience at this location today. After spending over $35, the employee tried to charge me an extra $2.25 just for an empty coffee cup**! When I explained how unreasonable that was, she refused to listen, raised her voice, and was incredibly rude.

Charging that much for a disposable cup is ridiculous, especially after a decent purchase. The complete lack of customer service and common sense has convinced me to never do business with them again. They seriously need to retrain their staff on basic...
