The food is great, but if you are not Spanish speaking, the staff is extremely rude. I frequent this restaurant and almost every time I visit, I met with horrible energy and even worse customer service.
Also, their prices vary, depending upon who rings the order. Some of the staff informs you that there is a price difference between homemade tortillas and regular tortillas and they allow you the option to choose. The others ring you up to homemade tortillas even if you don't have them.
Today, I placed an order confirmed the price and when I arrived to pat, I was quoted a different price. Myelle( rude staff) tried to over charge and when I asked for the manager, she told me she doesn't know who that is.
Moral of the story, find another Mexican restaurant. I have experience them mistreat "certain" folk and instead of patronizing an establishment that has patterns of bad behavior and is unwelcoming, go to another place.......
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBy far one of the most authentic Mexican restaurants Iāve ever been to. The food reminded me of my motherās pueblo in Guerrero where I first tried the amazing herb that is papalos or summer cilantro. I was so excited when I saw fresh bunches on other customers tables that I had to order some for myself. I was even more delighted to learn that they are grown locally by one of the sweet ladies who served us. The handmade tortillas in the green salsa chilaquiles were just amazing with the perfect amount of spice. We had picaditas with red salsa and it was spicy but delicious. Truly felt like mom, grandma, & tias home cooking & I canāt wait to be back for more. I also had a delicious fresh beet & orange juice. We enjoyed the see-thru style kitchen and although the place was tiny and jam packed on a Sunday afternoon, it is absolutely...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI absolutely love the food here. U used to drive all the way from Lakeview now all the way from Evanston. I happened to stumble upon this restaurant while visiting another one near by. The food is delicious. Sadly though, they are using the pandemic to really take advantage of their customers.I donāt mind paying a bit more because of the impact of the pandemic of course, but how much they raised they prices is just not justifiable. Today I came foe the last time. I ordered 4 quesadillas and 2 large aguas frescas. The total came to more than $40 Thatās nearly $10 per item. So sad to see a small business take advantage of their customers. Especially since itās such a popular spot. Sorry, but wonāt be...
