Pizza y Pan Pa' Ya Montrose — Restaurant in Jefferson Township

Comforting place, with all the things you might find in any panadaria in Colombia. All the food is good, but I don't think the bread was as good as the real thing and although we arrived within 2 hrs of opening, many things were already sold out. We ate there, and also bought a lot for home (1+hour drive) . My wife is Caleńa and she loved her morcilla, & empanadas were tasty, but I didn't think the different breads had the same "to die for" taste as I am used to in... say.. Barranquilla, or Armenia or even Cali for that matter. I bought a loaf of egg bread for home, and I'd be willing to bet it was day-old. All that said... I would reccomend this place. Its authentic and has quite a following! Maybe I'm just a bit spoiled by the real thing. We did not try, nor did I see anyone else try the pizza. The manager (who said her name is maria) provided customer service. I informed her my Hawaiian pizza did not have the pineapple jelly. She stated that the jelly goes under the cheese. But there wasn’t any jelly on any part of the pizza. Her solution was hanging up on me. What type of service is that?

My language? What are you talking at no point was I disrespectful. I was polite to her and I asked for a resolution. Her resolution was to put her cook on the phone. I said what are we going to do then? She said you already spoke with the cook. I told her how is that going to help the situation. I know it was missing the jelly. That’s the only reason I get that type of pizza from there. There was no reason to lie. So I ask that you don’t lie. I wanted a resolution and all she did...

This pizza. So good. Crazy good. It's not your typical deep dish though. It's not the one that makes you feel guilty. It's just honest to goodness flavors.

We decided to have a chicken and cheese deep dish. Somehow they managed to get the crust to be perfect and buttery and the rest of it moist and juicy. It was the perfect combo. And it didn't take 45m either.

We also had a small sausage and cheese. And something that simple was excellent. Not greasy and the same amazing crust only thinner.

For starters we had the empanadas and arepa. All worthy. It's not going to be super high touch service -- mostly counter like service. There are plenty of tables around the corner too. It's deceptively large.
