I had been a Starbucks customer for a long time until this morning and I tip always in cash or through my app even when I use my points This morning I went to the drive through and ordered a cup of coffee and a classic cake so when I got to the window, I said good morning to cashier and let her know I would like to use my reward points she said ok I’ll be with you but no good morning she turned around and scanned the points she said you owe $ 2.74 I said again I wanted to use my points she replied oh I scanned the money of course I didn’t have enough money in my account I asked her if she could scan my points she said it’s too late at this point my points and my money was wiped out from my account I politely ask if I could get a refund she called the manager I explained the situation to her she refunded my points and money but she said she can’t serve me I said ok I’m not buying anything after all this. I deleted my Starbucks account no more Starbucks for me after more than a decade being a die hard customer. I repeated what I wanted several times and when I had to repeat it because she didn’t pay attention when I first Told her the first time she had an attitude. Then because I didn’t pull up my app fast enough she sighs. I love Starbucks because of the customer service and always frequent them because of the atmosphere and the staff are generally very polite. Unfortunately, I just left to another Starbucks because of the attitude I received from this employee. She definitely needs to be retrained and if this early in the morning she’s already having a bad day then she shouldn’t be the first person customers encounter for their orders. I left to another Starbucks nearby who are always cordial to all customers. In addition, I’m also a stock holder in Starbucks so the service, reviews, and purchases make a difference for me. The employees were standing there chatting in front of the drive through window at approximately 0653 while my coffee was just sitting on the counter. I had to get to work and the employees were very inconsiderate and did not care for any amount of customer service and courtesy. I haven't had to give a bad review any where in over a year and a half. Also, they made the grade coffee too sweet. Lastly they didn't put a cardboard round cooler around the cup. Bad service at this location. The drive thru this morning was very bad due to 2 associates who acted like children after they did wrong and exuted poor customer service. I let the associates know they messed up. One of them apologized and did not sound sincere. I let her know I hope she was honest then she mocked me.
