I thought they were very nice, although I asked about buying some Blu-rays competitive to online prices, they wanted like 25 for Christine. It isn't a rare disc, at all. I got it for 11.45, sealed, Blu-ray.
There ARE some that ARE difficult to find, but that's not one.
I ended up getting it sealed from eBay, which I would have preferred to not have to do. I probably would have bought more discs, often just to help local places. I wanted it to be fair to both parties, of course, but people on the lower-end of the food chain are already REALLY financially hurting. It's only going to get worse, too. We can't toss away any cash. I found another movie or two at internet archive dot c. Rule is, don't buy anything unless you've seen it and know you already love it. Check library first. Also, Books4Cause is barely 2 blocks away. They have all kinds of stuff free. Tho not much bizarre horror, admittedly. Think not King, but Bentley Little.
Young guy w brown wavy hair waited on me. He was very nice.
I just had regular drip coffee. It was a bit strong for my taste. I'll probably thin it down once I get home.
I thought the old TV was cool. We had a very old Mitsubishi. They're EXTREMELY theft-proof, as they weigh 400 pounds.
I'd go plus half star for not having disposable stir sticks; instead just regular spoons. Maybe put a trash by the creamer and sugar over across the room..? If there were a bar rag to wipe anything, I would have grabbed it over...
Read moreNow don’t get me wrong, I usually love The Brewed. I’m a frequent goer and love V especially, they are one of my favorite baristas!Unfortunately my most recent visit was not as pleasant.
This time I came in and interacted, or lack thereof, with the person at the counter with short, curly, red hair. Not only did they not once greet us, they didn’t say a word the entire time we were trying to order and looked at us maybe twice. Not even repeating back the order, no thank you or anything. My partner and I, who are also baristas, gave them the benefit of the doubt but when we did separate transactions they seemed even more lackluster, if you can imagine.
I had forgotten to ask for light ice so as soon as they started grabbing for it I very apologetically asked for it, to which they side eyed me and said yeah as if I had just rear ended their mailbox. I’m also a young barista and understand the current climate of the world and our shared resistance / distaste to being forced to heavily fake a smile, but I never see that at The Brewed. What I saw with this person is a terrible attitude that I...
Read moreI've got to be honest with my review. This place is a no for me. I tried two different iced lattes - cherry almond and then Skull Island. Both were so terrible that I couldn't drink them, and I'll usually drink anything. The coffee tasted very stale.
The caramel mocha donut was good. The chery almond pastry was ok. My son wanted a sea salt chocolate chip cookie, so as always, I checked to see if there were nuts in it. She said no, but they are kept in the same container as almond croissants. Why? I'm not sure that's the best way to handle food. She recommended one of the packaged cookies in the fridge. He got a double chocolate chip cookie, and it was also disgusting - like dry powder flavor. Overall, there is alot that goes into the "vibe" they are trying to achieve, but if you're looking for good sweets and coffee in the area, this is not the place to find it.
I think from a customer service pov, I would have offered a replacement drink instead of charging someone for another one. But I wouldn't say that's "bad" customer...
