Van Phat Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Jefferson Township

Here's my view of the restuarant and the people on Google complaining. I've lived across the street for two years now. People keep telling me I have to eat here, they were right. I dunno what magical lucky cat they got cooking this food, but it's blown me away. I'm in love with the lady at the counter, she's sassy and real. She doesn't turn on a smile most times she just gives me my food and sits back down, you get it momma. I started with red curry with shrimp and WENT BACK FOR MORE! Egg rolls are have to be hand made cuz they are out of this world and always taste a little different. The smoothies are a dream and the sauces are just the right amount of tart and sweet. I then tried the Mongolian beef, I literally will not eat this anywhere but Jess Cafe in Belmont Cragin (check that out too). That beeeeeeef that thoooooo. Imma get everything on this menu.

To the people who complained, if you call them after your order arrives and they are closed, order earlier or order from someone else. To the guy feeding his kids.... every restuarant in the world forgets a delivery once in a blue, it was your turn blame the universe not the restuarant, you're lucky you get to experience this tasty food. Oh also did you make the kids wait two hours? Cuz Chinese food refrigerates really nicely (it's kinda what it's known for in an unofficial way). So basically you made your kids suffer (which is the way you are betraying this). Sounds like the kids got punished because you were to stubborn to cook, so really sounds like that's a "you thing". To the person who's order is wrong you didn't get a drink..... really? Boo.

Everyone should eat here. Tip that lady well and she will remember and...

There delivery service is a joke. I ordered and i had to end up calling them after 2 hours had passed just to get an update on were my food was. My update was " it should be on its way ". After i hung up with them , the delivery driver calls me saying he is in front of my house. I go outside just to find no one there.I call him back and he is about 6 blocks in the wrong direction and he begins to blame the girl for writing down the wrong address.I asked him what was the address he had and he repeated the right address.( What a joker ) So i then inform him on how to get to my house and he never shows up. I call Van Phat and its 10 minutes after closing time so no one answers. They charged my card and i did not recieve my food. If i could give zero stars i would. I suggest you try China fast Wok, the food is great and it will at least make it to your door in a decent time frame. I would have ordered from there , but it was a friends idea to order from Van Phat. NEVER...

Thoroughly charming, delicious, and well-priced. Service was fantastic, and the food really hit the spot. We ended up with enough leftovers to survive the winter! I make a killer homemade egg drop soup, and this is the first time a Chinese restaurant made something good enough to stand up it. You HAVE to try it. Orange chicken also had an unbelievable crispy crunchiness to it. We came in about an hour before close (which is often a stressful time for many restaurants), and they managed to be very friendly throughout our entire experience, including when we left.
