Now I know why no one is ever in this place. Five minutes ago, I walked in for the first time. No one was at the register. One customer was ahead of me. An old man with glasses poked his head out of the kitchen. Several minutes later he came out.
I can only assume he was the chef because he was wearing a monogrammed coat with his name and the name of the restaurant. After the guy in front of me was done, I ordered a #6 from the digital menu, a cheeseburger with fries. There were only combos, and I didnāt see any other menu to order from. He looked confused then turned around and scanned the menu for half a minute. Turning back, he said something about the burger taking awhile. I was a bit confused. He looked put out and smugly shrugged. This was obviously no sweat off his back. He did not want to make that burger for some reason. I said thatās alright and started to leave, feeling weirded out by the whole place. There was only one other person there in the dining room. I felt like I had intruded and ended up somewhere I was not welcome.
The chef was annoyed and inhospitable. It was dead on a Friday at lunch. The cherry on top, however, was when he told me to never come back as I walked out of the cafe. I kid you not. Just like in Seinfeld. Itās laughable now. That was how he punctuated the whole thing. Dude. No problem. I will never come back. One piece of advice though: lose the chef coat if you donāt...

Toscana Grill is a fantastic find! Thereās plenty of parking, which is always a plus. The restaurant itself is small but incredibly clean, cozy, and well-kept ā even the bathroom was spotless. We were warmly greeted by the owner, who not only welcomed us in but made a genuine effort to engage with all the guests. That personal touch made the experience even better.
The food? Absolutely delicious. We ordered the āgrahā (bean stew) and āÄevapiā ā both were packed with authentic flavor and served in generous portions. We couldnāt resist trying dessert and cappuccinos afterward, which were just as satisfying.
Prices are very reasonable, especially considering the quality and portion sizes. If youāre craving authentic Balkan cuisine, Toscana Grill is a must-visit. Highly...

The bread is hands down the best thing we ate. Light, chewy and crispy I could have made a meal just of that. Burek was tasty and large, enough for a portion with our meal and to take home for breakfast tomorrow. The Cevap sandwich was flavorful and enough to feed 2.
My one complaint is that for $13 there was hardly any chicken on my chicken sandwich. Like, a teeny tiny amount of small chick scraps you barely noticed it was there and couldn't taste hardly at all.
We will be back to try some of the other items...
