Johnny's New York Style Pizza — Restaurant in Jefferson

On June 17, 2025 I went into Johnny's Pizza to order a couple of slices and a soda to go and paid my $10. It was 1:20 PM on the receipt.

I had somewhere to be and couldn't wait long and asked how long this should take and was told 10 to 15 minutes. Standing around waiting for almost a half hour and no staff anywhere near me to have the courtesy to let me know why it's taking so long and how much longer I should wait, I finally had enough of being ignored and had to leave after waiting just over 25 minutes. There wasn't even anybody around for me to get my money back so they made $10 and I got nothing for it. I left my receipt at the cash register with a note written on it saying that waiting a half hour is way too long for just a slice of pizza and I left a question on there asking if I had been forgotten about.

And I see many previous reviews complaining about the slow service. Seems this is an ongoing problem they have not rectified with proper management.

Does a business not realize that its reputation is EVERYTHING?! If your reputation sucks then you've got nothing! The word's GOING to get out!

So, what is their pizza like? I have no idea! All I know is I'm out $10 for piss poor customer service. I felt insignificant. I guess I'll stick with Peppinos in Athens. At least they're attentive to their customers.

And it's no good management reaching out to me to offer me to come back on in for compensation and to try their food because I know the resentment that my complaint will cause and I would not feel confident eating there with the staff knowing I was the one that complained about them. First time there and the LAST time there!! The manager guy with the blonde hair is a disrespectful douchebag that needs more training on customer service and hospitality. So, my wife and I came in to try this place out around 5:00 pm on Sunday afternoon and grab a large 3 topping to go. I ordered and I paid then waited at an open table for then next 25-30 minutes. We asked the kind waitress if she could pleased check on our order so that we can beat the dinner rush. As someone who's a pizza maker & store manger myself I can tell you this: I have never asked a paying customer to get up and move to go stand up! I have never asked my waitresses to handle my request like that guy with no balls. Come ask me yourself like a REAL manger. The kind waitress was already nervous and did not want to ask us to move.

Now the pizza had no sauce in places so the cheese blows up then dries out... wow! Huge 3 inch crust on one side. Pizza not cut all the way through. Very little toppings for the $25 charge. This isn't New York Style pizza it's garbage for the money. No flavor and just all around horrible!!

If I want REAL New York style pizza I will happily go to LITTLE ITALY...

First time experience with them. I believe they are worth my 5 stars. I tried 2 locations, and I stumbled across the one in Jefferson not far off i-85 n GA. Walked in, and yes, the atmosphere is a place I would definitely sit in on my next visit to that area. The staff personnel greeted soon as we walked in with a welcoming and pleasant attitude, which sets the tone for the wife and myself. I only want something to snack on, so I ordered cheese, beef, and onions, a slice of pizza, the wife cheese, and pepperoni. Yes, after all these years living down here, I finally have a go-to place that gives me a little taste of home. When It comes to pizza. Needles to say, I ordered a Stromboli from their other location a little closer to my area. Still, no disappointment food was still hot as if we just ordered in store. For us, they are our go-to for now on. Lastly, imma say the quality of their menu is not a false advertisement of the quality...
