McDonald's — Restaurant in Jefferson

I'm giving this place one star but only because the horrible service and all the other screw ups shouldn't be pinned on the employees but on the jackass manager who clearly couldn't train a dog to bark let alone train a crew of people to take an order or do simple cleaning tasks. I know it's only a McDonald's but most other ones follow a dress code and pay some attention to their personal hygiene. Since this manager doesn't pay attention to his own hygiene it explains why his employees don't either. At 4 in the afternoon with no customers there should have been clean tables but not a single one. The place stunk and the floor was littered with food and was sticky every where you stepped. Even the service counter where we ordered was filthy. The kid who took the order was untrained on a register and the manager had to intervene and even he screwed up the order. When we pointed out his omission of a 90 cent item, instead of apologizing and offering compensation, the skinflint charged us. When our food was brought to our table it had not been cooked to order and was substandard,but we just gave up complaining. The kid who brought the food dropped a shake on the floor in the playroom and the mess sat there the whole time we were eating. When we left, our granddaughter who used to work at a McDonalds and could not believe the experience we were having, stopped at the front counter to advise them that instead of standing around doing nothing, they might want to get someone to cleanup the mess before someone slipped and fell and they had a lawsuit on their hands. I would highly recommend to anyone looking at reviews before stopping here, and notice how many horrible reviews are here. Keep going down the road to Ft. Atkinson, Janesville, or Johnson Creek. Jefferson McDonald's has really gone down hill. I went there the other day at lunch time I was there because two days before I had ordered in the Drive-Thru and when I got home of course my order was wrong. Having spoken with the manager Angelina she said to come in and pick up a free meal. I was in a rush so I met my friend and daughter there took her 25 minutes to get a McNugget Happy Meal. there were at least five young people behind the counter walking around bumping into each other similarly to bumper cars at the fair. One young lady was working over at the soda machine cleaning up. After I stood there for almost 10 minutes the young lady cleaning the machine came over and took my order. She also gave a gentleman his order. He came back up to the counter stating that he needed a fork. Another young man replied we're looking for them we don't know where they are. It took me almost 10 minutes to receive my number nine which is two cheeseburgers with no ketchup french fries and a chocolate milk. In the meantime the same kids are back there milling around doing nothing but complaining. Seriously these people are wanting $14 an hour to do nothing? The place was dirty and very unorganized. I doubt very seriously that I will return to this McDonald's. As we were getting ready to leave a couple came in and I told them I hope you're not in a hurry. In the meantime my friend was getting her daughter out of the Playland after waiting a good six to eight minutes the couple thanked me and said I was right and they departed empty-handed. I took my 4- and 2.5-yr old kiddos here to play in the playground. It was around 11:45am when we arrived. They were a but busy; the drive-thru had 5 or 6 cars and there were probably around 10 patrons in the lobby. I decided to order food on the app because their order kiosks were not working. We met a friend there with some other kiddos; my friend said she had order 20 minutes prior and still didn't receive her food. She got it about 5 minutes later and her apple pie about 10 minutes after that. I chalked it up to them being busy and perhaps not being well prepared for the lunch rush.

Our food took about 15 minutes to get to us. Both kiddos got a 6-piece chicken mcnugget happy meals. All of the chicken nuggets were way overcooked. I know the fries are small, but both of their fry containers were only half full. The apples were going to expire tomorrow and a couple were a little brown. The apple juices were fine, though.

I'm also thinking the playground does not get clean that often. My kids' socks were so black by the time they were done playing that I just threw them out. There was no way I was going to be able to save them. I noticed the rear of both their pants were quite dirty as well from going down the slide.

I've been here before and had better experiences. I'm hopeful today's experience will not...
