My company spent over $500 on pizza for a business to business transaction. The delivery was set for 4:45. The delivery guy Jim arrived at 4:41 I was not at this location since it went to another business. He called me and asked for me to come to the door, I explained the situation and told him that I would let the people in the building know. He was VERY rude to me on the phone, he told me how ridiculous it was that I was not at the location. One of my employees arrived at the location and I asked her to help jim. Jim had been waiting for no longer then 10 minutes and told my employee that he is not going to sit here any longer and left $500 worth of pizza sitting on the ground. He also made nasty comments to my employee and was slamming his car door. I called him back to find out what the issue was. He told me “I wasn’t waiting any longer so I left it on the ground” I told him that I was going to have to speak to his manager. He then told me “I am the manager, go ahead and call up there, tell them my name, everyone knows who I am.” So I did just that. I called and spoke with the manager Rain. She was very nice and very apologetic to the situation. I told her that as a company we spend a lot of money at your store and I never expected to get treated like this. I asked for the General manager to please give me a call. Rain told me that the GM would be calling the next day. I never received a phone call the next day so I called again. I asked for Rain but she was not it. I was speaking with Elijah. I started explaining the situation to him and then he became rude! He told me that there was nothing I can do and that I shouldn’t have even called. I asked him why I would be rude to him if I was nice to Rain yesterday. He proceeded to tell me that there is nothing he can do and that he was going to get off the phone. I am disgusted at how I was treated when it was their employee Jim who left $500 worth of pizza on the ground and was very disrespectful. I am still waiting on a response from the GM. This is terrible business...
Read moreWhen we first moved to J-Town about 6 years ago we'd count on this Papa John's fast, reliable pizza for our Saturday Night movie viewing. It is this location that introduce me to the (at the time) Local Favorite, which is a pizza with pepperoni, Italian sausage, and jalapeño. For a while that would the only order we'd make, then they changed it to something else. We'd still order from them but order a build-your-own.
The last year-and-a-half or so has lead us away from this Papa John's. There have been a number of experiences that have marred our taste (so to speak) regarding this location.
On a couple occasions we'd place on order online, get an email confirmation that the order was accepted, then about three minutes later an email that the order was cancelled with 100% no explanation. No one the store answered when we called. We still don't know why this happened.
There have been occasions when we call earlier in the day to see how late they're open for delivery and would plan our order accordingly. Later that day, still within delivery time frame we were provided a few hour previously, we'd place an order only to find out that they were closed.
Wanting to hold on to our diminishing love for Papa John's we recently ordered the once-Local Favorite I mentioned earlier. The odds were in our favor and they were still open and still delivering. When the pizza arrived it was very much a disappointment. It was a limp, not-too-warm pizza that looked like it was suffering from depression. It was literally flat and lifeless.
That was it. No more. There are plenty of pizza options in the J-Town area that will gladly take your pizza dough ($$ - see what I did there?) and give you a great pie. Even if I have to drive to pick up my Saturday Night pizza, at least I know it'll be...
Read morePapa John's on Taylorsville Rd has terrible customer service. I ordered 7 pizzas on the app. It said 15-20 I thought was kinda fast. Then a "manager" called me. Said that it was going to be about an hour. I was okay with this. Understandable. Told him the app told me 15-20 minutes. Is there a reason. He said that big orders you have to call in and it takes 1-2 hours. And now it was gonna be 1 and half since I want to argue. Asked me if that was okay. Asked him really what are my choices. He sd well he will go ahead and cancel the order and hung up. With me trying to tell him that I did not want to cancel before he hung up.
Then I called back and talked to a manager to complain on his horrible customer service. He told me well that he could not do anything about it. So I asked for corporates number. Called them and while on hold the first guy said that since I did not like his customer service that he will put me on the do not take orders list and hung up.
Papa johns finally got someone on the phone with corporate and I was on my way to the store. Got to the store while filing a complaint. Walked into the store. While he was on the phone. So this guy called me a fat f. Started cussing me out and told me to f off and called me a bald f*. Meanwhile there recorded customer service at corporate was recording and listening. So yeah.
So I ordered from the papajohns on Bardstown. Had 7 pizzas ready in 20 minutes. No problem. Great customer service.
So avoid the jtown papa johns at all...
