I'm impressed that they decided to open in the middle of the Coronavirus pandemic, but I don't see that slowing this eatery down! Our first visit was during the soft opening, well ahead of the grand opening. The full menu was available (for takeout, of course) and if this is any indicator, this might be the restaurant that lasts longer in this location than any in the last 5 years.

Fast forward to the doors being open and we've been able to visit a couple times. I have not been disappointed by I Love Tacos AT ALL. In fact, every visit gets better and has fast become my favorite local taco eatery.

Even though they're working under limited capacity, this place is always hopping. Quite a few of the tables that have been moved to make room or social distancing have been moved outside to accommodate as many customers as possible. On Friday evenings the outside dining area is busy busy, and they have music playing as well. Full service/menu is available to all diners.

The big change indoors is the removal of the bar, and I'm pretty OK with that. None of the 3 previous eateries that occupied this space utilized it very well, anyway.

During our visits the staff -- all of them -- were constantly hustling to keep the food and margaritas moving. The food has always been on point and served hot and well presented. While the menu isn't huge, its focus is on tacos and, let's be real, who doesn't love tacos?

In talking to our server, I Love Tacos is doing VERY well. So well, in fact, they're already in talks to open a...

After reading all the amazing reviews, we. Made a special trip to Jtown to try I Love Tacos! We arrived on an unusually warm day (64 degrees) and requested to sit on the outside patio. At first, the staff refused to allow us to sit outside. Once they realized we weren't eating indoor during the pandemic, they allowed us to sit on the patio which required a 30-second wipe-down of tables/chairs. All good... Or so we thought.

We ordered margaritas which were delicious and strong. All good. We ordered a second round.

When we ordered dinner, we were informed that we couldn't be served food outside....WTH?!? After two rounds of margaritas, we definitively needed FOOD.

As a "compromise" we ordered our food to go, then ate it outside, at our table, from the Styrofoam containers. No idea what precipitated this odd circumstance. We were literally just two guests quietly enjoying margaritas on the patio, on an unusually warm night. We were the only guests outside and we were super quiet.

Food was excellent, btw.

Why the 3 star review? Our bill came. Never fun when the menu says one price ($4.99 for swirl margaritas) and your bill says something different ($5.99). (Photos posted) In a nutshell, we were overcharged for three margaritas and a burrito. Not cool. Felt duped and left a...

This place is the worst. I have not had my order right yet. Couple days ago I ordered. Not right again. I had stuff missing. None of my extra stuff was in the bag or on my food. Asked for the manager..he was more argumentative than anything. Never an apology and definitely wanted to play the blame game. I WILL NOT be ordering here again. I also work for Doordash. I won't be taking anymore orders from here either. My customers orders are hardly ever on time. Now I wonder how many people got the wrong food or didn't receive what they should have. Spend your money elsewhere in jtown. I'm going back to El Nopal personally. I never had my order wrong and I didn't have to call the manager. Food is good but it's not any different than any other mexican restaurant. Seating area outside is nice but so is everybody else's patio. While waiting for food in my car, I saw the staff breaking down the patio while people were out there eating. First, watch out for these people's food. You have dust and debris flying off the umbrellas. The customer even asked if they were in the way. The reply was yes. How rude!!! Hey I love tacos.... customers pay your paycheck. You should take care of them better!!!! Customers..... BEWARE!!!!! Don't patronize this place. You deserve better for your hard...

Surpassed my expectations! So there's been a buzz about this place, so when we drove past (we were hungry) I swerved into the parking lot and gave it a go. The food was excellent, tasty and fresh. Started out with the steak fajita nachos. Steak cooked perfect with grilled onions and peppers smothered by a homemade cheese sauce. There was enough to fill both of us, but we went on. The fish taco was crispy on the outside and juicy inside. Topped perfectly with pickled cabbage and a romalde sauce. Street corn smothered in queso fresco also perfect. We washed it down with a sangria and margarita (the margarita was perfect for those of us who hate overly sweet margaritas). Would go again (and order less). Worth the visit.

I am a nurse and home with covid. I ordered doordash and wrote on the special instructions **NO TOMATOES PLEASE** Got my order and it looked like it had extra tomatoes! I called and the man answering the phone was very rude and acted like he couldn't understand me, even though he had no problem reading the ticked out loud that stated no tomatoes. They were unwilling to do anything to help. This was my first experience there and other than them having big red and the only thing I can probably taste very well right now, I'm not sure what the hype is about. Way to support nurses I Love Tacos, I should have came to pick it up myself and shook your hand when you got rude with me chump.
