I have used Adrienne and Company several times for our families special occasions. I've opted for really amazing cakes that Adrienne herself has created for us, not just her decorators on staff. I am now absolutely shocked at the way I have been treated by this company. If they treat a loyal customer this way, I can only imagine how an average customer would be treated. I called this past weekend and left a message to order a cake. I didn't hear back and reached out again on Mon. On Monday I placed an order over the phone and was told the decorators would be in on Tues. I was told about the overall design regarding the cake and we discussed flavors. At no point was I told about the possibility of them not having enough time. I also sent a very detailed email outlining my request on Mon. I had not heard back from anyone via email or phone, so I called twice on Wed leaving a voicemail. I double checked the email address that I had used for them in the past, and it was correct. Having not heard from anyone I called yet again this morning. I was told that the cake I had requested couldn't be created. They said they couldn't recieve voicemails and they never got my email. I then texted them a screenshot showing the date and time of the email. They dug in and refused to create the cake that was discussed on Monday, and I asked for Adrienne to call me. Adrienne returned my call and I was very polite to her. However, if anyone has ever dealt with her, you may have experienced the fact that she will ask questions and immediately talk over you. I allowed her to go on and on without interrupting, I was not given that opportunity. I listened to her talk herself in circles, at times inserting misinformation and seemingly making herself angry, by the assumptions she was making. At one point she brought up the way I treated her staff and that I had yelled. I had been extremely patient and kind to her staff not once yelling. She then acknowledged that they never said that I yelled. This was the most unnecessary, overly dramatic experience. As human beings we should always allow one another grace. I listened to the excuses about the new employee, the limited number of decorators, their voicemail issue, their email issue, the fact that they had been on vacation the week before. However, as a small business owner with three companies, if I had failed a customer this bad, it's my job to make sure someone or myself fulfills their order. Just my treatment alone from Adrienne herself would prevent me from ever using this company again. We are given two ears and one mouth. Maybe slow down and let your customer speak, without endless rambling when you don't even have the facts straight. There were times she would ask a question and then answer it herself. We had an 18 minute phone call and maybe I was allowed to speak for 3 or 4 minutes. Then theres the idea that a customer would have to spend so much time babysitting a company, only to still be let down is ridiculous. My advice, let your customer speak then react. And if you do have a mountain of issues occur, which I was willing to overlook, at least fulfill what they were initially promised. So much of my time was wasted, my calmness and kindness was not reciprocated, and I'm now rushing to find a cake decorator for my son's birthday...
Read moreLet me tell you a story of a man wanting breakfast. this man woke up one morning and realized that he had nothing for breakfast at all. he really wanted something good, something savory so this man Google's best places to eat breakfast in his area. this man is me. I found this company called Adrienne & Co and I have seen it on Court Avenue but I've never been in an ever so I decided to take a trip.I went in and noticed how nice and relaxing it was nothing overly crazy nothing underwhelming. it was cozy. I walked to the counter and told the lady I had never been here and asked her about something on the menu where as she replied about what it was. I decided to order and got the "Elvis french toast. I was expecting a small plate of food...boy was I more wrong. What came out was probably the most gorgeous beautiful amazing plate of food that graced this area for a bakery. My face was at awe. the people around me looked at me like I was going to walk away and decide not to undertake this courageous quest to eat this entire plate. As this hulking mass of banana bacon powdered sugar bread and probably 50 billion other ingredients that I don't even know how to pronounce came to my table I looked at it I teared up a little bit because this is what a man dreams about. The first bite was so hard because I wasn't sure where to start. honestly I didn't even want to dive into it because it deserves to be in a museum. after I dove into it I'm pretty sure my taste buds will never ever ever taste anything the same again. it was like Angels walking on my tongue. I will be back probably every Saturday starving myself the day before just to prepare myself for a feast of a king for such a low price. 71 out of 10 will go definitely again. Also if they're reading this please post this on your wall of most amazing reviews ever it may be the first but this review deserves it cuz this is honestly...
Read moreWORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. SHE AND HER STAFF ARE VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND RUDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I arrived at Adrienne & Co Bakery at approximately 5:10 and was NEVER greeted nor acknowledged until a Caucasian customer (who wanted change for a $5.00) was waited on. Adrienne, herself actually ran to the back of the store looking for change for this customer. All the while I had been standing there waiting for service with not even a hello.... Once everything had been done to get change for a $5.00. She finally looked at me and asked- what did I need. Well at point it's clear she rather give change than to make a sell ( or at least a sell with me). I told her I didn't want to buy anything at this point and she was pretty much like "oh well". When I pressed her about her lake of customer service skills she says (it's not her job and she didn't see me, although she was stand just to the left about 3 paces away and she looked in my direction several times). Not only that but her staffer that was "suppose" to be working the counter came out to scream and yell to tell me to leave, but was nowhere to be found so I could place an order (talk about good timing).
Now either I'm invisible or Adrienne didn't care to assist me because of the color of my skin. I guess my money wasn't as green as that $5.00 she made sure to get change for!
Adrienne and her UNPROFESSIONAL STAFF may feel like they can treat "certain customers" any kind of way. That is until they don't have any people buying your goods.
That was my first and last time attempting to patron anything she owns! I'll shop and spend my hard earned money were I'm celebrated NOT tolerated!
