Food was delicious. We got spaghetti and meatballs, chicken ranch Alfredo, cheese pizza and cheesesticks. The staff was very friendly.
The reduced stars come for a few reasons. Ordering online was a breeze. We walked to pick it up and the hostess said it wasn’t ready and they needed 15 more mins bc they had a rush of orders. We understood. 15 mins go by and no food yet. This puts a 30 min pick up window to 45 mins. The pasta came out a few mins later. The hostess gave us the pasta and I was waiting for her to hand us the 2 pizzas. They were not in the warming chamber. She went back to the kitchen and said they weren’t ready yet. Back to waiting. I finally asked her if she could check bc it was an hour since the time I ordered. She came back with the pizzas. No bags to carry the flimsy pasta containers in as they were out. Understand. She offered us napkins to carry them as they were hot. She tried. The person next to me waited as long as I did and he requested 6 ranch cups. They didn’t offer him a box to carry them in so I just grabbed one and gave it to him.
A few suggestions to help the poor hostess out. She was literally answering calls, organizing online orders as they were received, checking out carry out patrons, running back to the kitchen to check on orders, and seating people. It’s not impossible to do all of these tasks, but one way to make the process more lean would be to have a runner coming to her with the complete carry out order. I saw one person bringing her boxes on occasion. Some were partial orders. It doesn’t help the process to bring partial orders to the front. they should be complete. This will eliminate the need for her to open boxes to verify it’s contents. Bags are a must in a carry out business for anything other than pizza boxes. That is unacceptable.
We will return. I will let friends know about the Parlour. I hope the processes become more streamlined to raise my...
Read moreI went to the restaurant with my family consisting of four adults and one child on a Wednesday evening. We opted to sit outside but encountered some issues with the cleanliness of our table. Despite requesting it twice, the table was not promptly cleaned until 6:30. Additionally, it took us flagging down our waitress after a 20-minute wait to place our drink orders. Although we ordered both food and appetizers, the appetizers arrived within 10 minutes. We had to manage our own plates and ask for silverware, which was inconvenient. We ordered cheese sticks, which were very good, along with a Caesar salad, a large cheese pizza, and wings.
Unfortunately, we experienced a significant delay in receiving our food. Even though we had already received our appetizers, we waited for over 45 minutes without any sign of our main dishes. Surprisingly, the table next to us, which was seated 45 minutes after us, received their food promptly. We had to approach our waitress once again to inquire about the delay and request refills. After a 10-minute wait, our pizza finally arrived, but we were still missing our wings. We questioned the delay, and the response was that our order ticket had been misplaced, which seemed inconsistent as we had received the rest of our food. The wings were eventually brought out after a further 15 minutes, resulting in a total dining time of over 3 hours.
Despite the quality of the food and the pleasant atmosphere, the service was the major drawback of our experience. There was a lack of apology for the delays and mishaps, with the staff offering only excuses. Based on this experience, I would hesitate to recommend this...
Read moreWe stopped in here after walking across the big four bridge into Jeffersonville. We went upstairs to the bar to get a beer and something to eat. My wife and I love craft beer and unfortunately we found the beer selection to be rather pedestrian and limited, more so than you find in most independent pizza parlors these days. I would rate the pizza as very average. I have friends who like it which is why we ordered it. Many consider me to be an expert on pizza. The crust seem like it came from a frozen dough ball and there was absolutely nothing special about the toppings or sauce. The service was also very average. The place was busy but not slammed for a Saturday night. They had two people behind the bar and it took a while for someone to acknowledge us and hand us a menu. it was probably a good eight to 10 minutes before we got a beer and were able to order a pizza. We were actually just getting ready to walk out when someone took our order. The service staff could use a little training in attentiveness and making eye contact with customers. Also, I don't think it would require that much effort to take the quality of this pizza up a couple levels but it just doesn't seem like that's the mission here. Again, it was okay, but nothing special to make me recommend it. They sort of have a captive audience of people who walk across that bridge because they were right at the foot...
