April 25 Returned 2 years later and it's still very good. Just ate loaded hash browns with a scoop of gravy and a biscuit. Wife had oatmeal. We both enjoyed our food. Hash browns are basically diced potatoes. Good of course, but not what I was expecting. One pic this time. Forgive the ketchup and the bite. I caught it a little late. Stop in and enjoy April 23' Once again, no pics, apologies. I had the breakfast burrito. It was very big, hot and delicious. .59 cents for a 1oz cup of sour cream is a bit much, and I certainly wanted a lot more, but not for that price. The burrito has scrambled egg, pieces of bacon, small diced potatoes, cheese and I think onion. Small 1oz cup of salsa, tho no charge. All for $6.99 +.59 for the sour cream. Not a bad price for how much I had. Wife had simple scrambled eggs and toast, which she liked. I'd certainly recommend eating there. Kind of a long wait, but not bad on a beautiful April morning, plus it was worth the wait. No benches or chairs for waiting, inside or out. Very small place, but that makes it so much better

Geraldine’s Kitchen is a wonderful local diner in Jeffersonville, Indiana all the way south by the Kentucky border. I stopped here on my way to Nashville and had a great Hot Roast Beef Sandwich. The meat was nicely done and the sandwich had a delicious horseradish mayo. The flavors exceeded what I was looking for. The hash browns were nice with onions but were not as good as the biscuit that came with the omelette. The biscuit was so buttery with a nice golden crust and soft inside. The eggs of the omelette were soft and tasty. I had some tater tots that were another good side option. The last thing I tried was a ham egg and cheese sandwich on a croissant. It was good, nothing special, but was super greasy. The service was great; the waitresses were very nice and quick on refills. The atmosphere was relatively clean and was a nice place to have a nice breakfast/lunch in Jeffersonville. Music played at a reasonable volume. Overall, I definitely recommend Geraldine’s Kitchen and was very happy to have eaten there!

Excellent local diner with a heartwarming, independent story. Breakfast was perfect; eggs as ordered, bacon was crisp but not over, hot sauce upon request. Service was chipper, welcoming, and fairly prompt for a full diner. Looking forward to coming back and digging further into the menu. :edit: Been back twice for their biscuits and gravy; highly recommended. Imagine, sausage gravy actually made with sausage! So many places just toss in some sausage in white gravy, but THIS is what I've been looking for. SO good! Pancakes are huge; grits are decent and customizable; coffee was solid and kept full. Can't say it enough; don't miss out on Geraldine's! Great prices, comfy/cozy... my go-to breakfast spot in southern Indiana, no doubt. AND they always have 107.7 on... Metallica, GnR, Pink Floyd for breakfast? YES please! Perfect! :/edit:

After walking into this location, we were told to seat ourselves. We decided to take a booth in the back of the restaurant. We sat there for over 10 minutes waiting for someone to acknowledge us as well as provide menus or even take a drink order. I flagged a waitress down she apologized and provided menus we then gave our drink order and I explained this is our first time visiting this restaurant. And she immediately asked if we knew what we wanted to eat. Which did not make any sense at all since this was our first time visiting this establishment and we just received the menu. She then goes to get drinks and I ordered an iced tea with lemon. But she returned with a cup of hot tea and a side glass of ice and stated that she didn't know if I ordered the ice on the side for my iced tea. In that moment I wanted to explain the meaning behind a compound word, but I didn't. We then gave our order, and waited for 30 minutes and not once did we receive an update regarding our food order. The manager was walking the floor and we asked if she would check on our food, 10 minutes later the food arrived. Yes the food was delicious but the overall service was horrible. If you value your time choose some other...

You want a good breakfast, you don't want alot of pretense and you want a place that just feels like family restaurants should.

This is your place.

In the middle of old town jeffersonville, on a lovely corner that will remind you of the way towns used to be in 1963, Geraldine's just gives you good food, a smile and twenty minutes of peace at a reasonable price.

When you step inside, you immediately are hit with a wave of calm. The insulation is amazing contributing to a cozy quiet zone. The colors are calming, not garish, and you can just relax here.

The food is wonderful, they have grits (instant) but they are otherwise the way grots are meant to be.. ie ..THICK. Biscuits and gravy is divine as well. But really, you have to go to feed both your stomach and your soul. Leave your cell in your bag and be present. The staff is polite and really care about great service and building connections that keep you coming back.

And there is no muzak here, from billy joel to van halen or billy idol, they actually have a radio on in the background, not muzak.

Its a corner place that astounds me and gives me warm and fuzzy feelings. So, step on down, and leave the world outside for twenty minutes. You'll be...

Absolutely the worst!!!!!!!! I will never return. Ordered the big daddy asked for my eggs a little more than medium so the white would be done and tots with cheese. What I got was eggs well done there's a difference in aliitle over medium than well done. Also didn't get the tots. Remade the eggs and to my surprise they were googy whites were slimy eew gross. Again not what I ordered. The response I got was we are all human and really busy and it's hot back there. So it's the owners wife that said this to me it's your restuarant maybe get a/c in the back. Oh and your kitchen staff is stressed out. I'm stressed out because I can't get my food right. After i took my insulin. Not everyone can cook eggs or handle weekend volume. EDIT I forgot to mention that they orginally said they would just removed tge big daddy from my bill l then it was they would take off the eggs. Umm I only ate the sausage and some of the tater tots I said I'd pay for what I had. My friend who joined me got an order to go and waited and waited and waited. Even went outside to smoke and still wasn't ready. Customers don't want excuses. Maybe a max of 12 to 15 tables in the...
