Waffle House — Restaurant in Jeffersonville

Hit and miss with food and service. Sometimes good. Calm breakfast for lunch spot. Ask for $6 menu. You have to ask. Sometimes 9 or more employees on duty and sometimes only 2. Ask for well done steak and it was so tough I couldn't eat it. Although friendly Some servers are not on point and can't keep on track. I Observe some servers completing their chores stocking and cleaning. others deliver your food then disappear and never return.

Returned: the server Deja is always friendly and good. Food was satisfying.

Returned: went for breakfast for dinner. Cheesy scrambled eggs, raisin bread toast with tomatoes with a biscuit and gravy. Eggs scrambled just the way I like. White gravy is good. Evening setting had only a few customers. Some empty tables were dirty. Cook completing chores after he cooked my food.

Update: hit and miss with quality. Depends on who is cooking. Went on a busy Saturday morning. Food was just fair this visit. I was dissappointed. I was Unable to sit in Deja's section. I don't think mgmt realizes Deja is talented. BTW: One employee was just standing around for over thirty minutes not doing anything, just looking out the window. Service was fair.

Update: went on Sunday morning during busy time. Place was full of patrons although rec'd great svc with Deja. I rec'd my order the way I requested. Many employees on duty. Food & svc good.

Follow up: tried WH a few days ago after craving good breakfast. Was disappointed. Quality of food and service lacking. Tried again today. Was disappointed once again. The quality of the food and quality of service is lacking. If a server gets tips they should learn to be attentive and follow up with their tables.

update: Early dinner weeknight December 2023, only a few customers and two people loitering. Service was fine. Food was fine.

update: February 2024 went on Saturday at 11:00 am. the Place with full. I counted 7 employees. Our Server only had a few tables but couldn’t make it work. A good twenty five minutes after we ordered and the server never told the cook to make our food. We left. That...

I'll start off with the good and end with the horrible. First off, the staff were very welcoming! They could maybe go through some training on proper contuct during working hours due to the loud conversations amongst themselves about their personal lives. However, they were very attentive and friendly. That was the only good thing I could say about this location.

This location is in desperate need of better management and quality control. The procedures I witnessed while eating my meal were, to say the least, questionable. The staff used dirty water to mop up dirty floors and then waited 10 minutes before placing a caution sign over the wet areas. I witnessed a server refilling syrup containers out of a large plastic container. She dropped the cap on the filthy rug and waited until another employee stumbled onto it before asking them to hand it to her. She then immediately placed the cap back on the container without cleaning it. The containers she had been refilling spilled all over the counter, and she proceeded to grab a soaking wet rag from a dirty water filled bucket and then dripped the same water across every surface between the bucket and counter, and back again. The trash was overflowing onto the floors,and although one server mentioned it to another, nothing was done about the trash on the floor. The wheeled cart behind the counter was rusted and in need of repairs. The windows looked as though they had greasy impressions of buttocks in several areas. The tables were not wiped clean after guests left their tables.

We had a doctor's appointment over in Jeffersonville, afterwards we decided to stop by for breakfast at the local Waffle House for our regular order. Waitress was friendly, kind, and prompt. The cost was a little more then what we've remembered. We get it togo simply because we live over in Louisville off Brownsboro rd. We get home settled in & begin to set our plates up only to realize that it was the worst looking food I've ever seen. My 7yr old kid could cook better eggs waffles etc then the paid cook at this waffle house. Over easy eggs unfortunately was not runny by any means. The waffles were still doughy from not being cook properly. The toast was burnt the only thing that was okay enough to eat was the damn hash brown's. The bacon was burnt. Plus I paid $3.00 for 2 pieces of burnt bacon. I have never had such horrible food come from them. From any of them from many different counties, states throughout my times traveling, vacations, etc. Tried calling up there to let this be known only to have no one answer the phone for almost a whole hour. Then it goes from that to being busy. Ridiculous honestly. I've taken a picture but not sure how to post it to this page or this waffle house in general. We are not very happy to have spent $33.00 with a very nice tip included at waffle house. Never again. Hubby is even more upset.. Better double check every single items before you leave. Now I know why the All-star platter was underneath the heavy waffles. Trickery...
