I am usually not one to complain but Do NOT host your children’s birthday parties here. It looks great from the pictures but today I went to pay the $100 deposit and when I walked in I was hit with cigarette smoke. I brushed it off and went to the front desk and the lady was sitting there smoking a cigarette (an employee). She didn’t put it out when I said something to her. Janet finally came down from mopping the party room, which she is great and easy to talk to but the employee smoking a cigarette in the building is mind blowing to me. When I went up to look at the party room it was so unbelievably hot, as there is NO AIR CONDITIONING! I would have been paying $100/hr for no air conditioning. Aside from that, this was for my one year old birthday party and we will not be hosting a party at a place that smokes inside the building. My child has not and will not be exposed to cigarette smoke.

I’m so unbelievably shocked at the unprofessionalism with this place. It has so much potential and I would’ve loved to have family events and future parties here but that lady and air situation completely ruined that.

Very nice local civic club building. Has full kitchen and large meeting room. Handicap accessible. The Optimist Club is a non-profit organization serving the youth of the community. It is quite puzzling that it comes up in a keyword search for “bars” as it is not a bar at all. This place is so mismanaged that they had a shooting on the property during one of their "events." There are bullet holes in the side of my house and car that the owner refused to pay for, nor does he have business liability insurance to cover it. You should avoid this place like the plague.
