Stopped in about 8am for a breakfast sandwich, when my go to wasn't open. I used to frequent this spot, when I worked around the corner. The space is ALWAYS clean, the service is efficient and the food is always great, but IMO a little overpriced. The counter persons lack warmth when dealing with customers. While trying to decide what I wanted, I felt rushed, the way an establishment would, if you showed up 10 mins prior to closing. There was only 2 customers (including. me), at the time. It didn't end with me, another customer who had already ordered, received a phone call while waiting for his order, he stepped outside to take the call. Everyone, including staff heard the phone ring. You could hear him talking outside. They were ready to ring up the items and were sort of impatient, walking back and forth to the window and sighing. Due to an allergy they called to tell me they couldnāt include the Caesar dressing which was really nice. Everyone seems really nice. I told them I still wanted the order. But I assumed another dressing was included but it was just chicken on lettuce with cheese. In situations like that itās just best for the restaurant to cancel because either way I have to pay for it. Nobody wants a dry salad. The bread from my sandwich was so hard I could hardly bite through it. On top of the chicken being dry on the caesar. I couldnāt eat the salad or sandwich and now Iām out of $30 on top of having to go get more food. So disappointed and I wish restaurants would do better by their customers. I was snubbed because I wanted a cannoli. My husband and son picked their pastries and when I asked for a cannoli the man said"No, I have to take other customers". It was rude and dismissive. It's not like we were causing trouble, we were laughing with him until I dropped the trigger word "CANNOLI"....I guess he didn't have time to fill the the pastry shell?
