DO NOT SHOP HERE.... YOU WILL WASTE YOUR TIME...... BAD, BAD SERVICE... Walked in Jersey City Store on 3/29, when I walked I realized the store was empty, but that could've been for any reason. I dealt with sales Person Cheyenne and Store manager Nick. I went looking for the BRS900 Model to check it's comfort level as I saw it on sale on the internet. I learned they didn't have a floor model. Secondly, I then looked at the Beautyrest Pressure Smart Lux Extra Firm Mattress. I had seen the mattress before but it was out of my budget. At that moment Cheyenne had asked me if I would consider the same model from the clearance store. At first I was a bit hesitant because of the status, A mattress someone bought and brought it back. However convinced me that upon return it goes through a very thorough Steam Cleaning and disinfecting process. I was interested in getting it because it was such such a great model. That being said, Nick the store manager than took over sale and stated he could have it brought to the Bayonne store the next day if he could secure a deposit. While reluctant to do so, as I don't believe in giving deposits, after speaking to Nick and Cheyenne I was convinced to do and I did. Cheyenne than re took control of the sale and proceeded to take back over the sale. She gave me a price that ai thought was good, Nick then intervened and stated that he would throw in a Automatic Adjustable Bed frame for free. I was to go the Bayonne NJ store and see the Mattress there on 3/30. I walked out of the store leaving my deposit and hopeful that I would go the Bayonne store to look at the mattress to see if fit the quality discussed and I can Close the sale. Well on 3/30 about 10:30am I texted Cheyenne the sales person who provided me the number as a contact to follow up, She never answered. I then called the Jersey City store and Nick, the manager picked up and he assured me that the Mattress would be brought to the Bayonne store for my viewing and his colleague Mike would call me up He stated I truck would be there betw 11-4pm. Well the entire day goes by and Nothing. No follow up call from Cheyenne, Nick or Mike from Bayonne. I elected to call The Jersey City store at 4:15pm or so, spoke to Cheyanne, she tells me that the Truck was in another part of the state at a store and it was delayed. I told her I waited all day for a call and no one decided to follow up a sale that wasn't closed? No one decided to call the customer and let them know that. Cheyanne then called the Store Manager so he can conference call with us. He was on and when he I started to ask questions about I wasn't called about my sale all day or to follow up, SILENCE... Then the Manager hung Up. EVERYONE AT THIS STORE FAILED. I am calling Headquarters to make a Complaint. They all should be Fired, I may have lost a mortgage client as I had to reschedule for later in the day, because of my expected early afternoon visit to Mattress FIRM Of Bayonne. Turns out Bayonne Never Got the Mattress due to some made up poor excuse about Truck Delays. B Mindful I spoke to Nick ( Store Manager) about 10:30am, Cheyanne never followed up through the Day with Me. The Bayonne NJ person Mike.never called me to tell me the Bed was not in his store. 3Goof Ups only One Person to Blame.The Store Manager. Read moreI have made 2 purchases from this store before with Nick and was happy with his service. The star rating reflects the unacceptable behavior of the store Manager Mike. I attempted a big purchase on line via chat with an expert last week Saturday and it failed at final stage with my card info. I was then advised by the representative to visit a store nearby. I printed what I wanted because I already had extensive research and discussion about what was best for a vacant spare room. At entry the store Manager Michael noticed the papers in my hands and as I got closer he went into defense mode about if what I'm holding is a warranty claim and its not handled there. I told him it is not and laughed at the fright in his face. He became at ease and then explained his assumptions. I said ok & understood. I briefly told him what happened on line and told him of the details he was holding which he only glanced at an immediately went into upsale mode. At this point my patience is running low. I decided to listen to his recommendations and allowed him to visually show me the inventory of reference. He became upset at my rejection and made a questionable comment "are we having an issue here?" I responded No and said stop trying to sell me something clearly I'm not interested in. He pivoted AGAIN at a final presentation of another mattress that I am AGAIN not interested in. I told him you didn't even look at what I am trying to buy. He did with the quickest glance then raised his voice and said he feels like we are not having a good vibe because I am not listening to him. I raised my voice back and told him some actions have a domino effect cause he is not listening to me at all. He gave me back my papers and told me he has to ask me to leave because it is not going to work out. I said sure and reminded him that my money is good anywhere I go. He then decided to be apologetic that he's sorry that I felt he was trying to dupe me but clearly thats BS beause he walked off. He mouthed some additional stuff that I didn't quite hear because I was so done. It was enough to make my son tell him he need to stop with the constant comments and tantrum because we are trying to leave. Read moreI cannot say enough good things about this guy Nnabuihe Chimezie. He made the mattress-buying experience wonderful for us. He did not make us feel rushed or uncomfortable in any way. We showed up late around 8:30pm - half an hour before they close. We kept saying as 9 approached that we wanted to get out of there and let him go home because we wanted to take a night to decide on the purchase anyway. Nope - he would not let us leave. He stayed with us until 9:30pm fully understanding that we wouldn't be buying that evening just to make sure we would get to feel and learn in detail about each mattress so we could go home with the knowledge needed to make a decision. He was so friendly throughout that hour. A master in the art of conversation. My Fiance and I had fun talking to him. He never had us feeling pressured - he spoke to both of us equally and had both of us feeling comfortable sharing our thoughts. He gave us space to talk also. He talked about himself while also asking us questions about ourselves without getting into too much detail on either side. There are lots of negative things you can say about some salesmen and women from how they speak to how they make you feel - not this guy. It felt genuine from beginning to end. I might pop in some time just to say hi. We cannot recommend that you ask for him enough. Thank you, Nnabuihe! 10 days in I can say it was a flawless delivery from Mattress Firm & the bed is awesome.
