Stopped by Five Guys on my walk home, craving a good bacon cheeseburger meal with fries. While I was looking forward to a solid meal, the overall experience left a lot to be desired.
As I walked in, no greeting, no smile—just silence. I get it, we all have long days, but a little warmth goes a long way, especially in the hospitality industry. The real issue, though, was the cleanliness—or lack of it. The place was just filthy. French fries scattered on the floor, crumbs and leftover food sitting untouched on tables, wrappers everywhere, and the floor? Slippery, slimy, and straight-up hazardous. The smell in the air definitely needed some TLC.
I initially planned to dine in, but after seeing the state of the place, I quickly changed my mind and opted for takeout. When my food was ready, I politely asked for ketchup and mayo—again, no acknowledgment, no smile. I still thanked them with a smile as I left, hoping it would at least create a positive moment in their day.
I understand how tough it can be, but basic hospitality and cleanliness are non-negotiable. I truly hope management steps in to provide the team with the training and support they need—because great food deserves a great experience...
Read moreI ordered a doordash delivery from here and the order was incorrect. The doordash rep told me to call 5 Guys. When I called 5 guys, the manager told me he had prepared the order himself and it was complete. I was later told by 5 guys corporate that door dash is responsible for preparing the order, which is confusing since the manager stated that he prepared it. When I told the manager that the yellow receipt stapled to the bag showed only a hamburger and did not include the ordered fries, he told me to come pick them up, which is ridiculous because I wouldn't have ordered delivery if I was available to pick it up. The manager was rude and argumentative even after I told him I would text or email the yellow receipt showing that the fries were not included. I can't comment on the food but the manager is a horrible example for his employees and I do not recommend anyone ordering from them unless you pick it up yourself and check the bag before you leave because it's definitely your...
Read moreVery very unfortunate eating experience. Woman working grill dropped the order receipt into my burger, I asked to make a new one, but was told I would have to buy another. Bought another sandwich, poorly made and constructed. They gave me the wrong smaller order of fries. I complained on the corporate website only to be harassed by what sounded like the owner. Requested a refund, owner quickly became defensive and dismissive. Claimed he viewed the store's video tapes and the event never happened. Refused to refund money until I physically came in to discuss with him. This place is very out of my way and I can't just drive back on the mans whims. I would never eat here again, just the way they treat their customers I can only imagine how they treat and prepare their food. Next time I'll order locally, these poorly managed corporate chains are ruining...
