QDOBA Mexican Eats — Restaurant in Jersey City

This is the worst and most expensive Qdoba I’ve ever been to. Terrible customer service with skimped bowls. I wanted to order the new Mexican StreetCorn Shrimp Bowl for my girlfriend. I assume that it’s a pre set bowl that they can make once you order it. When I placed my order to the server, he gives me a blank stare and proceeds to look confused. He asks another employee what I’m saying and she tells me “You just tell us what you want and we make it”. Now I have to look up the bowl online and look at whats inside the bowl with no help from the employees.

The server then suggests that I could get 2 proteins. NEVER once warned me that it would be an extra 5 dollars. I thought it would be an extra cost but with the amount of shrimp and steak he put in the bowl, it looked like he just put half and half as 1 order.

The total was 23 dollars for a skimped shimp and steak with chips and queso. Thats too much for such a tiny bowl. You can see how tiny the serving spoons are and how poorly trained the staff are.

Train the staff to learn the menu if Qdoba is offering new menu options. Customer service training is needed. And if it’s only 4 people, maybe they’re understaffed for those busy days but it was really empty when I was in there.

I would never recommend this Qdoba to anyone or waste their time and money. Just drive to the one in Bayonne. At least they know...

Qdoba is one of my favorite places to go. My favorite location is the one in Queens, NY. For this location, I would have to give it 3 starts for the following reasons:

The pickled onions were really salty, to the point where I ended up not eating it. I can handle salt, but this was too much.

To agree with Tiffany from previous comments, the portions were really small compared to other Qdobas I've been to. I ordered the spicy chicken, and there was just a little left, not even a full scoop, and that's what I was given, mind you on my other order I was given almost two scoops of regular chicken. No effort was made to get more of the chicken I ordered, I wouldn't have minded if they would of just gave me regular chicken instead since the spicy one was just half a scoop. Correct me if I'm in the wrong here.

Either way the service and people were great, I just don't like that the portions remind me of Chipotle, there is a reason why I always picked Qdoba over Chipotle, and it was because I always felt that Qdoba was giving me the value of my money...

Every time I go inside the Qdoba on westside. Its always a calm relaxed environment. I spend my entire lunch break there. Iam an Entrepreneur I set my own hours. And sometimes I spend 2hrs there. The Manger and employees has great hospitality. They treat me like family. Always a smile. Always courteous. Always kind.

The food Always fresh, the employees are really quick getting your order done in a timely manner. They pay attention to details. Alot of times I don't even have to tell them what I want, They already know. Sometimes all they do is have to say " same thing " and I say yes.
