Daikon Carrot — Restaurant in Jersey City

I usually go to Diakon Carrot for work, but on Friday, after finishing a delivery at the restaurant, Ross asked if I had ever tried anything from the menu. It was my first time trying a Bánh Mì sandwich, but I had always wanted to. I decided to get a combo with the Pho broth.

The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly, and my food didn’t take long to come out. I had planned to wait until after my next delivery to eat, but the aroma was so tempting that I couldn’t resist taking just one bite. Wow—that first bite was bursting with fresh, amazing flavors! The beef was cooked and seasoned perfectly, and the veggies were crisp, fresh, and well-dressed. The Pho broth was simple yet incredibly flavorful. I forgot the name of the juice I had but it was great. And as for the sandwich I wasn’t able to get a good picture lol. I ate it 😂

As a first-time customer, I was unsure if I would like the food here, as I can be a bit of a food snob and like to stick to my usual places. But, I felt good vibes from this place. The menu items looked and sounded like food I’d enjoy. So, I figured I’d give it a try!

I ordered the Kimchi Fries, with Aïoli sauce on the side. The dish is created in front of you. The staff is friendly, attentive, and willing to answer any questions you may have. They also allow you to sample items. The Kimchi Fries were delicious. I truly enjoyed them. All of the ingredients tasted very fresh and of high quality!

Additionally, the atmosphere is clean, neat, and spacious. They have restrooms for customers, which can be a challenge to find in the city. Finally, my last favorite discovery here was that there are a bunch of board games, cards, etc. for utilize during your time there! I will...

I, Christian, and my wife Iris visited for the first time and our experience was absolutely fantastic! We ordered the Korean Fried Chicken Bowl + Wonton Soup combo and It was really good. Along with the refreshing Calamansi Quencher which reminds me a lot of how one of my Aunt's make back in the Philippines. It's one of the most natural tasting calamansi flavor I have tasted in years!

The price is affordable and the portions were filling (keep in mind my wife and I shared the food and drinks and we felt satisfied).

I also want to personally thank Ross for being such a passionate and delightful guy to have met and talked to. He helped introduce us to our first ever experience in Daikon Carrot and we had a blast!
