Very disappointed...extremely. Hyderabad house had excellent reviews and even Xiao Man NYC from youtube popped in for an expose on his Indian restaurant tour in JC and I was pumped up to eat here. I decided to forgo my usual spots (which are top notch and my Indian friends agree as well).
I did take out. Staff was very kind and welcoming. When it came time to eat the garlic naan was meh...par-baked, heated just enough, not crisp, the maine course chennai chicken curry was by far one of the saltiest dishes I have even eaten. I love salty food btw, Im not afraid of salt.
The worst part was the flavor profile. The chilies and spices were not toasted to release their aromas in the food but totally burnt to a crisp which gave an unpleasant sour/burnt flavor. Oily oily oily. Yes, curries will be oily. but the rest of the curry should not be submerged in oil like a submarine breaching the surface of the ocean.
Combined the oiliness and burnt spices with the saltiness I had no other option but to trash it. $30 down the...
Read moreThe food and restaurant vibes immediately strike a chord with homesick Hyderabadis. The restroom, however, could have used a little sprucing up. We were a large group of about 20 that arrived without reservation and chef Abbas put up with the challenge of serving us with one masterpiece after another. The restaurant co-owner/host provided excellent hospitality and ensured everything was running smooth.
All of the dishes were seasoned to PERFECTION! The biryani had a homemade Hyderabadi flavor. The only anomaly from Hyderabadi flavors is that desi restaurants usually use goat instead of lamb, which might not be enjoyable to some. Highly recommend the kadai chicken with the naan. Goat talawa, chicken ka tikka with the tangy green chutney, and malai chicken tikka got the crowd raving all around as well. The chai was a fitting finale to a one-of-a-kind experience.
Everyone ate to their heart's content and we unabashedly packed up all of the leftover food for later and even ordered extra to go. Will be back again if in...
Read moreWe truly miss this gem of a restaurant since moving to another state! The taste of Hyderabadi food here is absolutely unmatched — you simply cannot find this kind of authentic flavor anywhere else in the entire USA. Every dish took us right back to Hyderabad — rich, flavorful, and made with so much heart.
A special shoutout to Sajjad bhai, one of the most humble and down-to-earth people we’ve ever met. Despite being the owner, he treats everyone like family — always smiling, always welcoming, and never making it feel like a business. His warmth makes this place feel like home.
And not just him — the entire staff is incredibly kind, respectful, and attentive. They go above and beyond to make sure every guest is comfortable and happy.
This restaurant isn’t just a place to eat — it’s an experience filled with amazing food and even better people. We miss it deeply and can’t wait to visit again whenever we’re back. If you’re nearby, don’t think twice. Just go. You’ll never forget the taste or the...
