By far the best concert venue I've ever been to. I'm already looking at every upcoming show just so that I can go back.
It starts at entry - the ID checker, security, and coat check staff are the friendliest I've encountered at any concert venue. They do their jobs well - I got a full pat down and coat search, but they somehow make it a pleasant experience. Very friendly and pleasant to have a quick conversation with - as opposed to a lot of security at other places that grunt and look at you like you're just an annoyance.
The venue itself is absolutely beautiful. Their restoration work and the character of the building itself is stunning. It's a pretty intimate venue, really the perfect size. The bars are easily accessible, service was quick and friendly, and the prices were surprisingly fair for a concert venue. They've got a decent selection of beers and drinks, as well as some food (real food, not just chips and snacks). I went with a few Yuengling beers and followed up with a hot apple cider with whiskey. I didn't get any food this time.
The sound quality is perfect here - no echo that I could notice, very clear and very high quality in general. It's all GA, so no seating, but it never got too packed. If you aren't a fan of being stuffed in a crowd (which we never were despite being right by the stage), they have an upstairs balcony that's usually a lot less crowded and still provides excellent views.
On top of it all, Ripe and their openers put on a great show. Like I said, I can't wait to find another excuse to come to White Eagle Hall and I couldn't be happier that I live so close to this...
Read more(SEE UPDATES AT THE END). I have been to many shows at WEH. It’s usually a great venue, but this time there was a problem. Usually, the ADA section is upstairs in the balcony area, but for the Kingdom show they put the ADA section downstairs along the right side wall behind the standing crowd. There was no way for anyone in the ADA section to see any of the stage. The promotion staff from Studio PAV tried numerous times to get the venue to open the balcony area for us but they refused stating the capacity number was not met to do so. The artist’s staff and crew were allowed up there but the ADA customers ( about 10 of us) were not. Not cool, White Eagle Hall. Please review your policy regarding where to place the ADA customers so everyone can see and enjoy the show.
UPDATE: WEH has responded to this review with an apology and a promise to never let that situation happen again. I’m impressed by their response. Most places would make excuses and not bother to rectify the problem. I’m changing my star rating from 2 to 4. Looking forward to my next concert experience there. UPDATE #2: Just saw the group Omega X. Owner, Todd was true to his word. The ADA section was moved back upstairs to the balcony. We all saw a great show from a clear view. Thanks, Todd. Giving WEH the 5th star for being a great venue with an owner...
Read moreThe place is nice but the "ADA section" is a joke. They use the upper bar area which is far away (considering we had the highest tier tickets) or impossible to see the whole stage (which is necessary for the group we saw). 1st image- is the distance/view for me, 2nd image is- the wheelchair viewpoint (being nice) for my shorter friend, 3rd image is- the rest of ADA, which was also a step down to get to/can't see the back left/right parts of the stage depending on the side you are sitting on. They have ways to get semi-mobile people into the building (delivery entree/elevator) but it is as listed (not wheelchair accessible). The reason we still went was because this was the closest location/my friend can't do flights. The staff did try their best to accommodate but they really should put ADA in front of the "barricade" like most standing-only places I have looked at. Parking was also super annoying due to our event being during a weekday and the street parking is all only 2hrs at a time (not really their fault but wanted to add here) so we had to walk 15mins to the garage we found. Overall not a bad place as the staff tried to help and when they realized other potential issues and brought it up with the touring agency (which then arranged something...
