Joeycakes — Restaurant in Jersey City

I have ordered several Joeycakes now, each truly having been better than the last. Joey consistently lends an unparalleled artistry to baking that allows his cakes to immediately become the centerpiece of every celebration they enter. His cakes are beautiful in a way that always feels brand new…and then you take a bite. The flavors are what makes his cakes, and where Joey absolutely “takes the cake”. I’ve had no other cake with such luxurious texture, guaranteed to feel fresh out of the oven even when you’re ravenously scraping at mere crumbs the day after the party (if you are lucky enough to have had some survive!) He is also a master of keeping a Goldilocks level of sweetness…JUST right. As a person who does not favor sweets, this is what I absolutely appreciate the most. Beyond his exceptional abilities as a baker, his communication skills and affable demeanor allow for a level of customization that helps you understand just how spectacular and one of a kind every Joeycake...

Needed to place a late custom order for family birthday but also had my heart set on a “number” style cake. Found JoeyCakes and saw some of his number cupcake cakes and decided to take a chance on a new place. Got a quick response from him despite it being a holiday weekend, and he took his time to make suggestions and still stay open to my vision, despite the later order. Felt immediately at ease that it would be taken care of professionally and thoughtfully! I was not wrong, and the cupcakes turned out so pretty! Definitely enjoyed the vanilla chocolate chip/ cookie dough flavor. The packaging was secure and pick up seamless! Would definitely consider ordering again, especially for the beautiful...

Amazing , just amazing! The design, the flavor… everything!

I knew I really wanted a heart shaped cake for my birthday. I described the vibe I wanted - feminine, elegant, and autumnal. And I was amazed by the final design.

The Biscoff Bliss flavor? So good, I’ve never had a cake quite like this one. My friend and family were obsessed with it.

Lastly the service was thoughtful! I love that Joey delivered the cake himself. The serving, storing and care instructions were clear. And he even included a candle on it.

I would definitely order a Joeycake again - the other flavors on the menu...
