My one experience at this pool was pretty terrible. It is a beautiful facility with a lot of lifeguards on duty, but the "pros" end there. I took my toddler son there on a 97 degree weekend day, and in the 1-hour that we stayed, the pool was cleared 5 times. One time the kiddie pool was emptied out because someone threw up in it (I understand that can't be helped), but FOUR TIMES IN LESS THAN AN HOUR, the lifeguards decided to run backboarding drills that required everyone to get out of the pool for at least 10 minutes. As someone who used to lifeguard, I appreciate that the guards want to keep their skills up throughout the summer, but this goes beyond excessive. I asked a security person if it was normal for these practice drills to be run every 10-15 minutes, and she said "yes." I couldn't believe that to be true, so I asked the same question to a lifeguard. He said it wasn't normal and he wasn't sure what was going on. So, I still don't know what to expect if I ever go back. I also asked a lifeguard about swimming lessons. He didn't know, went and asked another lifeguard, and then came back and told me to come back between 12-7 during the week. I couldn't believe that this was correct, so I asked a security person. She told me swimming lessons were over for the summer (in mid-July?). I can't believe that's right either, but I gave up my investigation (just having had to yank out my now-screaming toddler from the pool for a fifth time...). The pool rules are not posted in plain sight on either of the pool's decks (I assume they must be posted somewhere, though...perhaps the rest rooms?). I find this to be a problem, considering how many times the lifeguards blow the whistle for rule violations (although there doesn't appear to be any consequences for said rule violations). With the amount of money that the city spent on this facility, it is run quite poorly. I was very...

A great community aquatic center (with a kiddie pool and a large main pool with a few lanes designated for laps and a designated area to dive in if you choose) only a few blocks from the Liberty State Park Light Rail Station, Liberty State Park and Liberty Science Center. In the summer of 2023 a new slide replaced the old. Whether you are training to compete or a toddler in swim diapers there are always plenty of lifeguards on watch to keep everyone safe. There is a small parking lot and plenty of street parking. Make sure you have your ID for this is residents use only 🛟 🏊♀️🛝

Read moreawful experience at your pool. I paid at the entrance for 4 adults. This was 20 minutes before the pool got closed for maintenance . The entrance personal never communicated that I was paying to join the pool for 20 minutes because they were about to clean. I did share my frustration with one of the employees which was not helpful. I asked to speak with a manager and the manager was not fair as she advised me to go outside, come back when reopened, and pay again. She showed not to have any empathy, professionalism, solving problem skills, etc. I just got robbed! Yes, I am taking what it is necessary to address this situation. Will make this experience public so people don’t get robbed at this place. Also, the Manager of this place said that she was not allowed to share her name. What kind of manager doesn’t take responsibility or stand behind your policy with no identity....
