Taqueria Sabor Mixteca — Restaurant in Jersey City

THE WORST! DONT ORDER FROM HERE! I made a grub hub ordered and the restaurant cancelled my order 1.5hr later telling grub hub that they didn’t have tacos or quesadillas in stock. Weird because it’s a Mexican restaurant. I then called the restaurant directly because I didn’t make sense that a Mexican restaurant ran out of tacos and quesadillas. The girl on the phone was extremely rude! She informed me that a previous order made weeks ago by someone else in our office had been cancelled abruptly and they didn’t receive credit for the food that never arrived due to their lack of time. I wasn’t even a part of that order and yet I suffered the consequence when I had just simply attempted to make an order. It’s extremely unprofessional on their part. My order was $50 and they cancelled for a reason I was not involved in. I have never heard of a restaurant denying business to someone because of someone else that just so happens to work in the same building I work in. This was my first time trying this place, I have to say it wasn’t terrible but I just didn’t like the taste of it. I got 4 chicken tacos and a chicken empanada. The tacos were okay I’ve had wayyyy better. The empanada was disgusting honestly, there was chicken cheese and jalapeños in it and I think it was a weird combination if there was just chicken alone in it, it would’ve been fine. I won’t be ordering from here again. I guess this place saw my negative review and they called me one hour after my food was delivered and said they were outside with my food. Taqueria Sabor Mixteca was our first dinner after getting back from 24 hours of plane travel and dealing with jetlag. Like I said, we were really jetlagged so from what I remember, the food was pretty good and prices were reasonable. We ordered two campechano tacos, an Al pastor burrito, chips and guac, and a quesabirria.
