Torico Ice Cream — Restaurant in Jersey City

I was surprised to find this location in my area because it is new. I have been to the original/downtown location many times. I believe the original location has more flavors? But, there are more than enough options here. The downtown location has good staff and some seating. But, this location has Marianna and Genesis. They were extraordinarily helpful and patient with me. They explained the choices and offered many recommendations. I ended up with Ube, (one of my favorites) Coquito, (flavor of the month) and Java Mocha Donut (a seasonal flavor). The combination worked for me. Bad customer service. They have less flavors compared to 20 Erie St, Jersey City, NJ store. On 20 erie st, reps treat everyone with smile and let everyone test flavors. At this location, rep hadn't treat with smile and let me test only 2 flavors and told me that I can test only one more flavor. This kind of behavior is exactly opposite to the store at erie st.

I understand why people are willing to stay in line for more than 30 min at erie st store

Getting a Torico on this side of Jersey City is great! Just across from Berry Lane park in time for spring. Very good ice cream and staff were very pleasant. Note that this is more of a “stand” attached to what I can assume is offices and manufacturing facilities so there really wasn’t a place to eat other than using the crosswalk to the park across the street.
