China Kitchen — Restaurant in Jersey Village

Been coming to this location for over 10 and used to love it. On Today 07/15/2025 this place lost a long time customer. Over $70 down the drain for this horrible slop.

Cheese Wonton was pastie and gooey on the inside, House Special fried rice was flavorless, Mongolian Beef tasted burnt, Orange chicken had no citrus flavor at all and was very dark, the Spring Rolls were mushy on the inside, and the Lo Mein was overcooked and soggy.

I really wish the previous staff was still in charge and preparing the food. This place has gone down in food quality and customer service. This is the second time in 10 years I have ever had a problem. The first time was rectified apologetically and pleasantly without resistance from the former lady who use to work here for years. Not so much today. This time the much older female was very argumentative over the phone and aggressive in person. Even though she misunderstood what I ordered, she persistently tried to tell me I said differently when I’ve been ordering the same order for 10+ years. Today's date is 10/12/20. My name is Alex and this is a food review for the order of spicy beef combination from china kitchen on veterans memorial dr in Houston, which I ordered 2 days ago. I have visited this place several times in last 3 months. I have noticed they have fast service but is it good??? Well if you want the bottom line truth, here it is... I actually visited this place 1 year ago when I was searching for a go to restaurant when in case my job hours won't allow me enough time to cook so I tried this small joint. It seems not very well established but your first and only first order will be extraordinary. If you become regular and eat there food for 2 or 3 times, they really do not care how your food tastes. If you order there once in a blue moon where their callers ID won't recognize your phone number as a customer, your food will taste out of this world. If you are regular customer, make sure you order from a complete different number each time and tell them you are trying it for first time or you are new in the area. That is the only way to get your food little extra attention from the cook. Other than that, this is just an average...

This place has decent food and I order here frequently. Not after today. They have horrendous customer service. I placed a large order for pick up. In my order were two orders of BBQ boneless ribs. When I got home and unpacked all of the food, I realized I was missing an item. I called and explained I was missing one of the BBQ boneless ribs. She first told me they put both orders in one container...? Then she put the cook on the phone and his answer was "well I made two." Then he made me play a counting game with him where I had to count the containers and name what was in them. When they realized I was missing my second order of BBQ ribs he told me to pack ALL the food back up and bring it in and he would double check. I was not about to do that and just gave up. After I got off the phone, I realized that they also forgot the egg rolls that were supposed to come with all of the lunch specials. Chinese restaurants are a dime a dozen. Bring your business to decent business owners and stay away...
