Connie's Frozen Custard — Restaurant in Jersey Village

Don't get me wrong, the custard is good. I became a loyal customer and would go there over other places that were closer. But recently, I feel that the service at this place is awful. The custard is expensive, there's no getting around it. So when I ordered a large and was handed a small, I was upset. When I pointed this out to them, they said "that is a large". Like I said, I was a frequent customer, so I knew the sizes. I decided to just leave it alone and go on my happy way. I went in again after the fact, thinking I would give it another shot. This time I ordered a small chocolate shake. They have chocolate custard and it's very good. What I got though was vanilla custard with cheap chocolate syrup mixed in. I turned around asked if that was what I had received. When they said yes, I apologized and said that I want clear enough, and that I wanted a chocolate shake made with chocolate custard. I had barely even taken a sip of my old shake and requested that they just switch it out. Every other establishment that I have been to that has a separate chocolate ice cream or custard typically uses that to make the chocolate shake, so I saw no harm in asking. The young man behind the counter replied with an attitude, "well you have to pay for a new one". Not even an apology or an explanation of their policy. This small chocolate shake cost about $4 or $5, so I was a little upset. I opted to just leave without buying another. I drank my vanilla shake with chocolate syrup mix in. Let's just say that that shake and that experience "left a bad taste in my mouth" and I probably won't...

I’m not from this area, just happened to be in town to take my daughter for X-rays at an imaging office for her getting braces. I saw the cute little shop and got excited so we stopped , we love frozen custard! It reminded me of a little place in MI where we used to go when I was little . So many items to choose from on the menu I was impressed . We ordered three items the manager rang us up , and we paid with cc. But after I ordered by error I forgot to add rainbow sprinkles on one of our sundaes . The lady hadn’t started making the Icecream so I asked if I could add sprinkles . She was clearly annoyed by me asking , rolled her eyes and rang up another transaction for .92 charging me for sprinkles even after I kindly gave a 20% tip on my cc purchase . I paid the .92 in cash although I shouldn't have but my daughter wanted sprinkles . The girl was unkind and clearly not experienced in the service industry as what Is the right way to handle a situation . The mgr was behind her and heard what took place and didn’t feel the need to intervene. I don’t typically write reviews but this was poor service . Id understand to add the charge on for sprinkles but to go out of your way to charge someone a separate order /transaction was not necessary.Although the Icecream was good this ruined our experience and we...
