Two of my friends who live in the area told me and our group of friends about this place. Apparently this place is raving with 5 star reviews with about over 100 reviews. We were all together and in the area so we drove 20 minutes just to try it out.
This is the first place I've seen that does samples.
I really like that they provide samples cause it gives you an idea of what you like and don't like and what you can order for future purchases.
My friends and I came 10 minutes before closing on a Sunday and the owner was extremely nice to us. They put away the samples but she brought them out just for us to try. I'm not complaining and I don't blame the other workers but we definitely got some stink eyes from two of the guys working there. Probably cause we literally walked in 10 minutes before closing.
The owner was really really nice. She welcomed us before closing, recommended drinks to us, and even brought out the samples just for us to taste. Service was really great from her!
My friends all bought drinks. The sames really helped us in deciding what we wanted to get.
Here's what we bought: Jasmine Green Tea Taro Smoothie with egg pudding Coconut and Avocado Smoothie Coconut Cream Tea Tea with Herbal Jelly
Everything really tasted fresh. Literally. Even the teas. I can't really speak for my friend's drinks but from what I can tell some liked theirs and some thought it was OKAY. Though I can speak for mine. I got the Coconut and Avocado Smoothie. I love coconut and I love avocado and the owner really recommended that combination, so I went for it.
It had an interesting flavor, I could definitely taste the coconut and I could taste the creaminess of the avocado. It was good. But I'm not sure if it was...satisfying? I'm not sure how to explain it. Definitely an interesting combination but I just can't quite put my finger on it.
I wish I could give it 5 stars, but I think this place is a...
Read moreI really try my best to avoid posting a bad review, especially for small businesses. I’ve met the owners before and they are earnest hard working people. And I’m conflicted about leaving this type of review, but the amount of disrespect my family received at this place is almost unforgivable.
Before I go further I want people to understand that one or two bad workers is not indicative of the type of business that is run by the owners. However, it is because of those one or two workers, I feel the need to speak out and be heard.
We ordered the red bean and coconut smoothie because we read good reviews. However, all we could taste was the red bean. We barely took 3 sips and we were disgusted. It was as if someone just mashed up red beans, added crushed ice, (neglected to add any coconut or sweetener) and served it to us. A simple mess up, no worries as it can be easily fixed. We asked if we could add more sweetener, and they said there was nothing they could do. And that alone was upsetting. Any other good boba place would have replaced it, which has been the experience in the past when an order was messed up. Those simple mess ups are forgivable. We all make mistakes. However when we asked if we could have a new one made, they told us we had to buy another drink. This is super upsetting considering we actually tipped- which is something most people do not do at a boba tea shop. It was very disrespectful and a total disregard for customer service. We were so offended and hurt. And even though the cashier could see on our faces how upset we were with his response, he turned away from us and went on with his business. And this is completely different from the kind of service I usually receive at this place. There was no apology, no earnest attempt to remedy the situation, no acknowledgement of how upset we looked.
I really liked this place, and it disheartens me that I feel like I can...
Read moreThere's a reason Tapioca Master consistently receives 5 star reviews. Not enough good things can be said, and they are deserving of all the praise.
Let's talk about their name. It's a bold claim to call themselves, "Tapioca Master," but I can assure you they have the balls to back it up. Tapioca quality is probably the greatest variable between boba shops, and Tapioca Master gets it right. You know how when the boba is bad, your drink is ruined, and you try to maneuver your straw above the boba to finish the drink? You won't experience that here. The tapioca is perfectly cooked with a nice, evenly chewy consistency throughout and just a touch of sweetness. I wish they were a little bit sweeter, but it's a very minor gripe. The texture is a winner here.
They care about their tea quality, y'all. And that makes them an instant winner in my books. You can't go wrong with any of the milk tea options. You're able to actually taste the tea, and the experience is just so different from many other boba places. What I truly appreciate is that I am able to request a stronger tea flavor with less dairy and sugar, and it allows the tea to shine through even more.
But more important than tea quality, they care about -you-. You're warmly greeted as soon as you walk through the door, and you can sense their commitment to the community. They genuinely care about their product and your satisfaction, and will gladly help you if you're unhappy with your drink. You won't get better service from any other boba shop.
It's so nice to have good boba options outside of the usual Bellaire and Katy Asian Town. It's a shame I live so far away because I can see myself spending a lot of time here, but it's both a blessing and a curse. My stomach would be happy, but my wallet would be sad. On the upside, that just makes each visit all the more special. Tapioca Master will definitely be...
