We discovered a hidden gem in Houston: Costa, the first and only restaurant in the city serving food from Colombia’s Caribbean Coast. And what a find! We tried several dishes, and each one was better than the last. The Posta Cartagenera was out of this world, juicy, slightly sweet, with that traditional flavor that takes you straight to Cartagena. The Fried Mojarra was perfectly cooked, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The Arepa de Huevo… absolutely delicious! Golden, stuffed just right, with that homemade taste you can't fake. And the Surf & Turf (Mar y Tierra) was a highlight: the beef was perfectly cooked, juicy and tender, and the shrimp were soft and flavorful without overpowering. A winning combo! The staff was incredibly kind and welcoming, which made the experience even better. The only downside? The hours, they close at 4 p.m., so we had to wait until Saturday to go. Hopefully, they'll extend those hours in the future, because this place definitely deserves to be enjoyed for dinner too! This restaurant doesn’t just serve authentic dishes, it proudly gives voice to a region that had none in Houston until now. A true hidden gem worth celebrating. We'll...
Read more⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Costa Caribbean Colombian Kitchen is an absolute gem! I had the Posta Negra Cartagenera, the Caribbean tacos, and two natural juices... Maracuyá (passion fruit) and Hibiscus (jugo de jamaica).
Every single item was packed with flavor. The Posta Negra Cartagenera was rich, tender, and beautifully balanced, with the smoky aroma and taste of the rice tying all the flavors together perfectly. The Caribbean tacos were a pleasant surprise... flavorful, easy to handle, and paired with a delicious sauce that elevated every bite. Both juices were refreshing, natural, and not overly sweet, which made them the perfect complement to the meal.
On top of the food, the hospitality was outstanding. We were greeted with a smile when we arrived, and as we left, we were warmly invited to “come back and see us again.” That personal touch made the experience even more memorable.
From start to finish, the food was vibrant, authentic, and deeply satisfying. Highly recommend Costa Caribbean Colombian Kitchen if you’re looking for an authentic and unforgettable Colombian...
Read moreWent to costas it was really expensive 6 empanadas for 23 dollars and I had to ask for the picante so I assume they don’t give it to you with order also it was super bland the empanadas themselves you’re better off going to La risaralda you get more food and FLAVOR for your money, the chicken empanadas felt like a bland wet mop of a mess and the beef one was bland really wet like did they boil the meats in water and added one small packet of Goya sazone and called it a day??? The only good thing I have to say is the picante sauce was really yummy that’s it, I was wondering why this place is so lonely and empty well after 23$ spent I now know why 💀💀💀 it’s on cherry park and I’m leaving a google review for sure. They were too busy worrying about looking instagram ready rather than actually having good food. Honest you’re better off getting a frozen meal from the grocery store, same quality cheaper price. I wish Hell’s Kitchen was still airing so Gordon Ramsey could visit...
