LA Cajun Crawfish — Restaurant in Jersey Village

So over this location! Phone: They take forever to answer the phone if they answer at all, the back ground noise is usually loud and full of static (reception is lousy,) people answering the phone never really seem friendly or receptive when you do get them in the phone. Food: the food does have good flavor when it’s done right but not always the case. The consistency of cook properly to burning are the two main themes when they prepare their food. Soft shell crabs are usually burned (over fried) same for the fish and egg rolls. Customer service: Rarely on point. Everyone gives off this vibe that they don’t want to be there, no on seems happy or receptive to the customer. Everyone looks to be lacking on sleep and grumpy. It’s makes for an uninviting atmosphere. Location: Dark and drab. More like a grease dungeon than a restraint. Place looks hell-a dirty. The place is cluttered, dingy, surfaces filmy; you just don’t want to touch anything let alone eat there. Pay attention when people go though the swinging door, the kitchen looks clustered and really dirty as well. I’ve seen food boxes on the floor several times open. It just looks really unsanitary. If that’s not bad enough, the location is set right in the middle of vagrant city; homeless and junkies are laying about everywhere. Parts of the mall area are abandoned and boarded up, the building is old and falling apart. The parking lot looks like a war zone with potholes bigger than car wheels in spots. The area looks really unsafe. Doubly especially at night. Save your money and go somewhere else that’s cleaner, safer, and where the employees are welcoming and warm. Left on hold for 15 mins and was forced to order through Uber eats only to be charged $2 plus more per meal. I ordered 3 meals so that was an extra 6 dollars plus tax. When I got to the restaurant the food wasn’t ready even though I arrived at the time it said the food was ready and the cashiers had attitudes. One of them walked to the back and said it will be 10-15 mins. All the while the unprofessional cashiers are laughing and joking while customers are waiting extremely over the already long wait time which was already 40 mins. I was offered nothing for the inconvenience and was expected to wait while possibly being exposed to Covid 19. The whole reason of pick up is to grab the food and go. Horrible customer service. I took my family here and ended up leaving the entire order. I waited almost 30 minutes for my order and it wasn't what I wanted. There were two females singing a song with curse words in it when my child went in to check on order. No masks although it is mandatory for Harris County. Young girl arguing with me even while I'm trying to talk to who I think was the manager. Since he never stopped her I had to tell her to stop talking over his shoulder at me while I was talking to him. Told me I couldn't have seen the menu online when you clearly see the menu in the pics. This was at 9:22.
