No idea what happened to my last review of this place. In any case, a little less verbosely this time: would recommend.
For years we used to order almost daily from here. The owner is a lovely, kind, stand-up individual who seems genuinely concerned and invested in his customer's experience and dining satisfaction at his restaurants. As such, in my estimation, he uses the freshest ingredients and offers an ample selection of Mexican and Tex-Mex favorites. One tends to root for people like him.
If there is ONE detractor, at this 249 location, it is that for a time, EVERY SINGLE TO-GO order we picked up at the window, for months on end, was wrong. They either forgot an item, gave us the wrong order or item, etc. It became so commonplace that despite really liking the food and the owner and most of the people there, is was so mind-bogglingly frustrating, that we stopped ordering from there altogether for more than a year.
Well, recently we began ordering from them again (in the last couple of months have ordered maybe three times), and the food is still good. I am partial to the Milanesa, while family members enjoy their Pozole, their Enchiladas in Green Sauce and their Nachos. I am also happy to report that our orders have been correct all three times. Should we continue to order and should our orders continue to be correct, I'll up the rating to...
Read moreCame in on Friday night. It was crowded. But I was seated quickly. I got a large horchata to drink. It was pretty good. They gave me red and green salsa. Red salsa tasted like watered-down chef-boy-ar-dee sauce. The green salsa was delicious and had the perfect amount of spice. They gave me alot of broken chips. I ordered the #9 surf & turf fajitas. It came out quickly. The portion was smaller compared to other restaurants. Only got 3 shrimp, which didn't taste good, more fishy than normal. Looked boiled with seasoning thrown on. Received only 5 pieces of skirt steak and 4 pieces of chicken. Neither tasted seasoned or marinated. Couldn't finish it. I had to ask another waiter for my flour tortillas. They only gave me 2. The rice was a little bland, but the refried beans were great. The shredded chicken enchilada was delicious though. The bathroom was kind of dirty but surprisingly didn't smell. My waitress didn't seem to want to serve me, but I think she was just overwhelmed and ready to go home. Don't really think this place is worth it. 14.99$ wasted on mediocre food I could have...
