Pho 89 — Restaurant in Jersey Village

I came here last week on July 14th and the food was delicious. No complaints. My co worker then wanted to try the food the next day so i decided to come back that friday July 15th. I called in an order at 1205 and the only lady that works there told me 10-15 mins. I get there at 1230, and there was no one in the front to help me and the guy behind me until 1245. So now im just waiting on my pick up order. The guy came to front and ask may i help you and i said i have a pickup order i called in about 35 mins ago. He said three more mins but i still was waiting and noticed it was 1 pm. When the food came out juice was all in the bag everywhere on all containers. So the guy was trying to take the containers out to clean but was struggling with the bags. Im then frustrated because coworkers are waiting for food and lunch is over at 1:09pm. I then left to drop food off and my order was wrong and their shrimp was burnt. So i had to go back and let them know my order was wrong. Then i get there and the lady say they dont have any managers. What kind of job runs a company with no manager? Unprofessional and customer service was horrible. I did not recieve a refund because the lady did not know how to do returns. Then when i asked for manager phone number she gives it to me, i called and the company phine started ringing and i was like i thought u said it was the managers number and she yelled i told you we dont have managers. Never once heard from the manager at all. Please dont waste another customer time and say 10-15 mins when you know it dont take that long. Customer service make sure you are giving good quality food to customers and have a manager on site or supervisor that can help with refunds or any issues that need to be...

I don’t make it a point to leave bad reviews but let me tell you the story.

When I went into this location for the first time, I experienced a quality meal and service. The food was so good that I couldn’t wait to go back for more. That’s when I decided to go again today as I’ve had a very difficult week with school.

I go back in, order my usual appetizers, and then, well, that’s it, but not because I was done. For over an hour, I’m sitting there with my water not being refilled, other customers getting taken care of that are right next to me, and nobody even asking “can I get you anything?” Oh, finally, after watching me turn over everything on my table, they come to ask me if I need anything else. I mean, I’ve been sitting over here starving and wanting more food and now you care?! I should have just walked out and not paid because that was the worst experience I’ve had in over 5 years, at any place.

The problem is I really like their food and it’s so close to my house. However, if you are going to make me wait like that, you lose my business for good. I was looking forward to making this place a frequent place to eat and a place to go when I wanted to get away from my school work. Now I’ll have to find a much better place because what I experienced was...

Original 5 star review below -- Update, the quality of the food seems to have gone down. Hadn't been here in about a year. But sadly, I won't be coming back

They're are tons of vietnamese places around the 529 and highway 6 area. In fact, it's one of the areas culinary strengths. I've eaten at my fair share, and I can honestly say that this is my favorite. Starting with the pho, you can tell it's really good quality. Not only that, but it's really flavorful and balanced. Every sip feels amazing. The vermicelli is probably the best I've had. A lot of places, the vermicelli is either overly sweet, or sour or pretty much, one note. Not here. It's complex, with very vibrant flavors.

They're not like a bunch of other Asian restaurants that have over 100 items on the menu. It's relatively paired down so they focus on what the do best.

With regards to service, the owners are really friendly and great you with a smile. Only problem is I wish they were open later and on Sundays. But for what they do, they more than deserve a five star rating. Get here...
