Absolutely Appalling Experience at Saffron Indian Kitchen, Houston My recent event at Saffron Indian Kitchen in Houston was nothing short of a disaster, leaving me utterly dismayed and deeply regretting our choice of venue. What was promised to be a special occasion turned into a series of frustrating disappointments, highlighting a shocking lack of professionalism and attention to detail.
From the moment we arrived, it was clear that Saffron Indian Kitchen had failed to deliver on fundamental aspects we had explicitly discussed and confirmed. The absence of linen covers on the tables and chair bows was glaringly obvious, as well as no plates, napkins and utensils on the table making the entire setup look cheap and unfinished. This wasn't a minor oversight; it was a blatant disregard for the agreed-upon aesthetic and a significant detraction from the ambiance we had envisioned.
The technical issues were equally infuriating. The projector was broken, rendering it completely useless for our presentation. This is an absolutely critical piece of equipment for many events, and for it to be non-functional without any prior notice or a viable backup plan is simply unacceptable. It disrupted our schedule and forced us to scramble for alternatives, adding immense stress to an already chaotic situation.
However, the most egregious failing was the abysmal service during food distribution. We were left bewildered by the complete lack of stand-by servers while food was being served. This resulted in disorganization, delays, and a thoroughly unpleasant experience for our guests. It felt like a free-for-all, with no one to guide the flow, assist guests, or ensure a smooth and dignified meal service. This fundamental operational flaw speaks volumes about the management's inability to execute even the most basic event requirements.
In summary, our experience at Saffron Indian Kitchen was a catastrophic failure. The venue failed on basic decor, crucial equipment, and, most importantly, the fundamental provision of service during a key part of our event. It was a very bad experience that I would not wish upon anyone. Save yourself the frustration and look elsewhere if you value professionalism, reliability, and a positive...

Service was lame. The waiter spoke so softly we had to ask him to repeat everything he said. We were the only customers... WHY WHISPER?
The food was disapointing. I've eaten Indian food in more than a dozen countries. This meal was below average in most respects. My Rogan Josh arrived and was a thin smooth curry and I the waiter widows that it was "Chicken vindaloo". I told him I didn't order that. He then changed his mind and said it was Rogan Josh. B. S. It was vindaloo... Full On HOT.
They didn't admit their mistake and create the correct dish. Instead they added cream to dilute the vindaloo.
Part way thru dinner a waiter asked what car we drive? Someone was in the parking lot attempting to break in to several of the cars.
To add salt to the wounds (and burning mouth), if you want ice in your drink, you have to ask multiple times.
And finally, the bill arrived with 20% tip already added (and before you ask, only 2 people on the tab) . No chance to tell them they F'd Up in so many ways.
Don't bother going here. It will only give...
