We had been wanting to try this spot for a while and were excited to finally visit. The interior was charming, full of personality, and smelled amazing. Since I specifically came for pho, our expectations were high as we stepped in—but we left disappointed. I ordered their pho special, while my partner chose the bánh mì. When our food arrived, I prepared my pho with the provided garnishes and took a sip, but something was off. The broth lacked flavor entirely and had an odd taste—almost plastic-like, as if it had absorbed residue from somewhere in the process of cooking . I asked my partner to taste it without mentioning my concerns, and they immediately noticed the same strange flavor. Since I wasn’t going to finish it, I worked up the courage to ask if I could swap my order for a bánh mì instead, assuming the staff would try to adjust the pho. They took my bowl to the back, and after a long wait—during which I could hear their voices rising—they returned with a small bowl of broth, now noticeably with a different pigment. My assumption was correct; they had tried to modify it. They asked me to try it, and while it had more seasoning, the odd taste remained. Their explanation was that the garnishes I used had altered the flavor. I stopped myself from engaging in a back-and-forth debate about who was right. Given that I’ve had pho many times and have left five-star reviews when it stood out, garnishes are meant to complement not drastically change the flavor. Luckily, my partner noticed my silent cue. Not wanting to prolong the situation, they confirmed that I would prefer the bánh mì instead, as I recently requested. After reading other reviews, I see I’m not the only one with concerns about the quality control and how the restaurant handles feedback. While they did attempt a solution, there was little acknowledgment of the issue. Unfortunately, we won’t be adding this spot to our list for pho. (I initially wasn’t going to tip, but I decided to because the young boy on their staff was amiable —he was our first server and gave us more time to look at the menu. However, our server staff switched, were we felt more pressured to order quickly, even though we were the only ones in the restaurant)

On my way home, I noticed a sign advertising crawfish and decided to give it a try, especially since I enjoy Louisiana and Viet-Cajun flavors. The restaurant had a pleasant atmosphere, and the staff were courteous, explaining the different spice levels to me. I requested a sampler, as it was my first time trying their seafood and I didn’t want to commit to 5 pounds; they have a 2-pound minimum but accommodated my request. However, the sampler arrived cold. Despite this, I decided to proceed, hoping the main order would be better. I ordered 2 pounds of Cajun crawfish with extra corn at a hot spice level. After a 15-minute wait, I received my order, but upon reaching my car, my mother mentioned she couldn’t smell any spices. I opened the bag to taste one and found it to be buttery but lacking seasoning. I returned to the restaurant, and they attempted to rectify the issue. This time, I could smell the cayenne pepper, so I didn’t taste it there. Once home, I discovered it was overwhelmingly seasoned with cayenne pepper and still lacked depth of flavor. Additionally, the crawfish hadn’t been cleaned properly and were gritty. I’m quite disappointed and don’t plan to return for crawfish.

Very impressed they had so many options on their menu, considering their name led me to think they were only a pho place. They had rice platters, bo né, vermicelli noodles, and traditional and non traditional dishes. They even had French fries as an option instead of steam rice or fried rice! Thought that was pretty awesome of them to be different than other pho restaurants! I had the fried scallops and fried rice which came with garlic ginger sauce, and a bed of bok choy. I was very impressed with the taste, however the fried rice needs improvement. My husband had their pho tai and had no complaints. The interior is quite nice as well and I love the somewhat rustic theme they are going for. The service was fair, and I'm sure they are still working out some kinks. I will definitely come back and try other things on their menu!

Better than the last business that was here. ;) I've only been once so far but I will be back and will update the review if needed. I got the banh mi and fresh spring rolls. It's all really good, especially their peanut sauce. My only complaint is the egg I added to the banh mi was well done, though I didn't ask for it runny so it's not really their fault. Service is fast and friendly and they checked on me a few times in the short time I was there, and kept my water glass full. I will for sure be coming back.

Very clean and spacious inside.

Edit 9/10/18 from 5 to 3 stars Came in for lunch today and literally every single table had a mess on it. It was about half full with customers and the other half was empty but with dirty dishes. No wait service though they expect you to sit and wait for a waiter, so you have to order at the counter instead. The guy asked me if it was for here or to go. I had to ask him to clean a table so I could eat there. Zero wait service after you get your food.

The food is still good and fast but customer service is barely acceptable. I will give them another chance.

Edit 9/21 back to 5 stars.

My last visit must've just been an off day. Maybe half the staff called in that morning. Today they're well staffed and service is fast and responsive. Tables are clean. Food is great as usual.

-------+-

Edit April 2021. I've been back quite a few times due to convenience. The food is still good but the service is terrible. Wait staff is non-existent. To clarify, there is a waiter to take your order but forget about any sort of wait service after your food is out. They don't refill your drinks. You have to take your cup up to the counter to ask for a refill.

Edit February 2025. Back to 5 stars. Maybe I should've kept it at 5 stars the whole time because I keep coming back. It can't be that bad, right? My biggest complaint was the lack of service but they've recently taken great strides to improve their wait service. I've been here 3 times since they hired a large group of waiters and the service now is excellent.

5 stars across the board now....
