I first got to try this secret gem about a month ago when my husband got some tacos to-go and brought them home for lunch. He got me the al pastor taco and I kid you not y’all, the sheer taste of flavor explosion was EVERYTHING to write home about. This was THE BEST pastor taco I have ever had in my entire life. Two sauces drizzled on top of perfectly NON chewy pastor, sprinkled with juicy grilled pineapples and the most perfectly crisped taco ever made. And I was saying all this when I ate it 30 minutes after it was made and brought home to me! I go there the other day for the first time in person with my husband and they fully treat him (and me) like one of the fam. They were sooooo welcoming. The food tasted even BETTER fresh out the kitchen (didn’t think that was possible). I got to meet the owners and chefs, Marla and Chris, which are the couple featured in the painting on the wall. They are incredibly kind and passionate, and they also have their family working there as well which is great (two daughters I believe; I met one and she was so friendly!!) The restaurant is decorated nicely, is spacious and clean. My husband’s favorite thing to get are two bullis tacos (he says they are THE BEST ground beef tacos ever made), the Al pastor taco of course after trying mine, and a fish taco. We have probably eaten here 5 days in a row at one point lol. I’m not kidding, this place is cooking up something that is not found anywhere else around here. They make their own salsas as well! The flavor is truly unmatchable. Did I mention this place is also affordable?! THANK YOU MARLA AND CHRIS for leaving beautiful San Diego to come bring us Texans the best tacos we have ever had. We truly appreciate y’all!!!

I think I cried a little when I was eating. It was my first here and I live close by so I wanted to check it . Wanted to try something simple so had the crispy tacos. Man......I had a Disney moment because one bite it took my back to my childhood when my mom would make tacos while me and my sister watched space jam on vhs. Super meaty, thin tortilla but crispy not burnt. The lady kept emphasizing everything was fresh and ship from California, but these torillas were made by the ancient Aztec pyramids of Oaxaca. Ordered three other tacos; the pastor, the papas and the fish tacos. I didn't cry in front of them because I'm a man, but waterfalls in my head. The pastor was tender and the sauce was like someone put their grandma's foot in it! Sweet, tangy, the pineapple was a nice touch. I didn't have the papas cuz my girl devoured that in an instant but I got to try the crispy fish tacos. I've had fish tacos and just "a healthy alternative." But the ones they are making here are a game changer. Beer battered, Popeyes type of crispy, not oily, not runny just made to perfection. The best part of the meal was the horchata. Hands down one of the the best horchatas I've ever had. It was like Selena was alive, just pure happiness in a cup Come check this place out
