Reading all the reviews, I was excited to try this place. Prices weren't awful for what I've seen around the area. The shop is small and was empty when we arrived accept for one patron who was waiting on Togo food. There was only one young lady working the front of house and she seemed distracted. She did greet us and hastily gave us a table and menus. We sat there for a bit waiting to be serviced and were searching for other places to eat. We already decided on a new place but once the lady came to us to start an order we felt like the least we could do was order 1 item to not make it a waste on her time or ours. When we did order she seemed a little confused by our only ordering one item. We ordered the pho Tai, which did come out very fast and the taste was good but not great. I was pretty disappointed that we weren't given or offered any limes/bean sprouts. I grew up in Chinatown and have been to so many pho shops, to which I've always been served these items side by side. Everything just felt very unwelcoming in a way. I do hope this was just a fluke and normal service isn't usually this way. I would say to give them a try in hopes your situation goes...
Read moreFrom a Vietnamese perspective: I arrived her for lunch. Recommended their newest rice plate and ordered a rice with chicken rotisserie plate and even took the suggestion to upsize to large for a dollar more. When I received my food, I am left a bit surprised. This is a $12.99 rice place that appear small and lacking in portion. The chicken was dry, overcooked and I can't even say I received a full thigh with a drum stick. This indeed was an overly priced dish. I also order 2 banh mi to go. The banh mi looks tasty, but also a bit over priced. Over all, I would not come back given the cost vs portion ratio. I hope the owner reassess and redo their pricing structure. The services was...
Read moreI checked this place out on Yelp/Google and was excited to try the restaurant. After eating there I had to come back and write a review because I was surprised at how different my experience was compared to others.
I had a Bahn Mi sandwich and, contrary to all the reviews saw, the bread was horribly stale. Like break into crumbs when you bite into it stale. The beef and sandwich fillings seemed tasty, if a bit sparse, there wasn't a jalapeno and I had more egg than meat (I added an egg to the #12). But the bread makes the sandwich and it was terrible Hopefully I just got unlucky, but even if that's the case I won't be coming back. There's better Bahn Mi for...
