Went on a Friday around 7pm and got a table for a party of two relatively quickly which was surprising. The restaurant is an open ceiling design that's popular these days and it suits the aesthetic that they're aiming for.
They have TV's everywhere and no matter where you sit if you want to watch the TV, you won't have strain your neck or peak around to catch a glimpse. It's a fairly loud spot, but that's to be expected so if want something quieter than definitely try to stop by earlier.
We were greeted by our friendly waitress promptly and she quickly took our drink orders and throughout the night apologized for any delays and kept us updated on our food&drinks. If there is a negative here it was the wait for food and drinks. It took awhile but they're a new place and were busy so I'm not holding that against them.
Drinks? Were fantastic. My wife had this activated charcoal drink called the Chupacabra that tasted great, it had an ingredient in there I've never heard of before called "mescal." Some type of tequila that's not a tequila. While I had a Paloma, which also had a great taste and the presentation concerning both of them was appealing. They included little plants in them that I found pretty neat too.
Food? I had the BIg Tex, which was a burger with brisket and jalepeno sausage. Boy, I'll tell you what. It was delicious. Everything about it, from the pretzel bread to the burger patty, brisket and to the sausage were on point. AND they don't skimp on the fries, which were also great. Pretty standard fries, nothing special but they don't need to be. The wife just ordered some of their craft fries, the Crafthouse Loaded fries which came with a different style of fry. They were essentially thin steak fries. That dish was a bit disappointing to her. There wasn't enough queso or other included ingredients and she was let down by the fries themselves. She preferred the style and taste of fry that came with my meal.
Overall it was fantastic restaurant and we enjoyed it. Go give it a try, and if you're worried about price it's honestly not too bad. You'll probably spend close to 80 for two people depending on if you're ordering cocktails. We'll definitely include this in our restaurant rotation (I need to try their chicken...
Read moreI’m disappointed and really wanted to like this place as it’s difficult to find a place with good vegan options. I placed my order for pickup over the phone and Jessica was kind and helpful. Even with me double checking that each item I ordered was vegan, customer service was still great. I arrived and my order was ready in about 10 minutes. There’s maybe two other customers sitting at the bar. My order is walked out to me and I don’t think to check it before I leave because how could they mess up probably the only order being prepared at the time.
I ordered the chicken fried seitan which comes with mashed potatoes, roasted corn, and toast. So I make it home and my mashed potatoes are no where to be found. I would never eat chicken fried chicken/steak without mashed potatoes so surely I can’t eat the seitan without it. I call back and Jessica apologizes and confirms that it was assumed the gravy was the potatoes and she offered me options to remedy the situation. I opted for a credit back to my card because I didn’t want to journey back for the potatoes.
I’m glad I chose that option because the chicken fried seitan was absolutely flavorless! I couldn’t eat any more than two bites because it was like eating...nothing. I couldn’t get past the texture. It was like eating a rubber sponge. I’m not one of those vegans that desires meat substitutes, but I read some reviews on a different app and decided I would make it a cheat meal. So disappointed. The batter was crispy and had potential, but I definitely wouldn’t order it again. The corn on the cob was pretty good and had a good flavor with just the right amount of crunch to it. I also ordered a side of tater tots just to knock out this craving I had been having. Sigh. They were pretty salty and no crunch to them at all. Way too soft for decent tater tots. I would have liked to try other options another time, but idk now. (Tots were tasted seconds after walking out of the building and getting into my car. They were very fresh and hot, but still too soft. Maybe I’ll ask for them “well...
Read moreIt's your typical bar with decent drink and food selections.
My friends and I stopped by here after spending the earlier part of the day outdoors at Paradigm Brewery a few miles down the road and we wanted to find a place where we could sit indoors while enjoying some good cocktails and delicious food.
I'd never been here before nor did I have heard about this place. However, one of my friends is a fan and recommended this place so we ended up here.
The bar is located inside Vintage Park so there's plenty of parking in the lot. The interior ambiance is nice with the bar smack in the center of the dining area. We sat at the booth facing the back wall. When we sat down, the table had not been cleaned yet but they quickly took care of that.
Our server was friendly, but a bit on the slow side. He got pretty much all our orders right except for... drumrolls... WATER. As he was taking our drink orders, I had asked for a cup of water to cool down from the heat first. One of my friends had also asked for a cup of water along with his cocktail. Long story short, those cups of water never came until way, way, way later after we'd ordered and received our food order. And even then, when I'd asked for water again for the table, he had only brought out one for me.
Now let's talk food. As a group, we had ordered the tomato basil soup and grilled cheese, herb & garlic ribeye, and Texas Cheese Steak. I personally had the cheese steak and even though it was decent, it was nothing to brag about and definitely not something that you go out of your way to get.
I wouldn't mind coming back here if I were in the area. However, since this place is around 25 miles away from where I live, I doubt I will be...
