Went for my company Christmas Party in early December. The venue was nice, staff was nice. The reasons I cannot offer a 5* all around are as follows:
I have several food allergies, which they were contacted about in writing, and in extensive detail, at least 3 weeks in advance. They did somewhat attempt to make accommodations. What didn't meet my expectations, is that I was not contacted back until a couple days prior to my visit, and I personally drove to the restaurant about 10 days prior since I had not heard back and was told they did receive my email, and that the individual responsible for events would reach out to me "soon" - it was another week before this happened. After providing an extensive list of foods I can have, and what I cannot have, I was still served mashed potatoes, which were made with regular potatoes (my boyfriend ate them and verifie), and not any variety of sweet potatoes, which was communicated clearly - or they could have simply provided more broccoli and skipped the potatoes altogether. No appetizers were accommodated for me, either, which I could have easily walked the chef through. My steak was also much too rare for my liking (and barely room temp) and had to be sent back for further cooking. I was never asked how I wanted my steak prepared, until I asked for it to be cooked further. On the plus side, which I very much appreciate, is they said they would procure a grass-fed steak for me, and I assume this was done. I do know people get anxious about over cooking grass-fed filet, but once it was cooked to my preference, it was just right. I gave 4* because what I did get to eat, was tasty (once the steak issue was remedied), but really I'd give 3.5 due to all of the issues stated above. No one technically bothered to check on my meal that I recall, I had to stop the server to request additional cooking and didn't even have an opportunity to discuss the potatoes or getting additional broccoli, or something else, to ensure I had a full meal. Service was rated at 3* for reasons stated above, as service, in my case, includes being communicated with, as well as execution of the plan. The server was polite, and knew who I was, however seemed a bit bothered when I would ask additional questions and was not very thorough in responses. Service overall was slow - this is feedback from my coworkers, as well. Many guest water glasses were empty toward the latter part of the meal - which is unacceptable, no matter what part of the meal you are in. We had a party of approximately 24. The venue and atmosphere were great, we really enjoyed the private room in the back. The venue was clean.
Perhaps I'd have a better experience dining with a small party, but I'm not sure that I will be back to "see", personally, based on...
Read moreI was going on a date with a girl I like and needed a perfect date spot. Brix was recommended and I was told we HAVE TO sit at the bar. We showed up and magically two spots immediately opened up at the bar. We sat down and we’re greeted by Alex and David. Alex asked us what type of liquor we were in the mood for. My date and I landed on tequila (good choice). Alex proceeded to make us each some delicious tequila based drinks. We then ordered some appetizers and eventually another round.
This review is specific to Alex. Alex was incredibly friendly and was a master of his craft. All we needed to do was tell him what liquor we were in the mood for and where we were landing with sweetness, etc. He then used his skills and understanding of alcohol, bitters and garnishes to produce world class mixed drinks. We ordered two entrees and then another round. My date threw out that she wanted some Prosecco based drink. Alex whipped up another delicious drink.
During our conversation, Alex mentioned the restaurant had a large wine collection, as well as a member’s club that allows patrons to save wine in house and take advantage of discounts.
Food was great, drinks were incredible, service was top notch.
Needless to say, I think I’ll get another date. Might have to take her...
Read moreI hosted a private event at BRIX Wine Cellars on June 25, 2022 for about 65 guests to celebrate my husband's 65th birthday and retirement.
EVERYTHING was AWESOME!!!
The venue, the drinks, the food, and the service were all FIVE STARS. The staff - Alex, Kendrick, Kaley and Paige were so attentive... I never saw the bottom of my glass! Sometimes you think maybe the food won't be so good at a wine place, but the food was phenomenal. We had refreshed Hors d'oeurves throughout the evening that included pork taquitos, crab cakes, Korean beef skewers (my fav!!), house made hummus, vegetable bruschetta, vesper boards, and dessert boards. It was all delicious!!
The venue is beautiful and many guests told me it was perfect place for the party and everything was perfect. Quite a few had never been to BRIX before and said they were definitely coming back for drinks and/or dinner. The owner, Nita, is so nice and she was a huge help in getting everything planned. Once we arrived for the party... all I had to do was greet guests and have a good time. The staff was on top of everything and I never had to ask for anything. I highly recommend BRIX for your night out or for a private party. The people and the place are AMAZING!!! I could not be more happy with how my...
