Very disappointing. This used to be one of my favorite local spots. Tonight we opted NOT to eat in Brunswick while shopping, but instead wait and order some yummy Damon's hamburgers. Normally this is an amazing meal....but we've noticed that things have slowly been changing. The grilled chicken for one is now so tiny it's a joke to even think about ordering it..... anyway, I called in our order (2 burgers) waited the requested 20 min....and was there right on time. Cashier friendly, but burgers were not ready...so I waited. No biggie. Fresh food is always better.....but that's the issue. It wasn't fresh. I live 2 miles away... fries were over cooked and cold as ice. Burger patty was barely warm and bun had hardly been toasted...not to mention it's not the normal bun that fits the meat patty. On top of all that, my wild sauce was basically light orange butter. So dissatisfied. 23$ for 2 people to eat and most of it was trashed. Not sure why the food quality has gone downhill. Not the first or even second disappointment here lately. Hope they get back on track. I miss the...
Read moreI live out of state away from the nursing home in Jesup in which my elderly mother resides. With Easter dawning, I was so dismayed that my Mother wouldn't have a proper Easter meal; it broke my heart. With the pandemic; we can't physically see her. Jessica (Damon's) spoke with me on the phone to hear my story as I had hoped to order my Mother a special meal today to be delivered. I was blessed with far more than just a meal from Damon's. Jessica offered to take my Mother her own home-cooked Easter meal tomorrow! I was sobbing with joy and gratitude in my heart. I pray this shows the true meaning of Easter to all who read this.... It is the kindness and consideration for others that Jesus taught and commissioned us to teach and more importantly, to show His gifts to our brothers and sisters. Thank you, Jessica and may God bless you and your family. I will be planning to dine with you all at Damon's when we get back down to Georgia. I hear nothing but great things...
Read moreThe food was "OK" at best but the service and the stares from both the staff and "white customers" was pathetic....It was so over the top I thought the customers were going to choke on their food and it would have been nice for the employees to say "hello" or "thank you" but I guess that doesn't happen when an interracial couple stands before them.
I had gone to lunch with a friend of mine...a nurse (A black female nurse)...and I guess people in Jesup, GA are still struggling to grasp the concept of "black women and white men" having a lunch together.
So if you enjoy the sounds of banjos.....you might enjoy Damons.
If you go to the family reunion to meet a perspective wife.....You might enjoy Damons.
If you happen to like to be stared at like some animal in a cage...You might enjoy Damons.
I just love the south......banjos...
